As early as 2006, 12-year-old Yang Jie entered the Shanghai Youth Women's Volleyball Team and entered the Shanghai Youth Women's Volleyball Team in 2007. In 2010, 16-year-old Yang Jie was selected into the new national women's volleyball team list with Wang Baoquan as the head coach, and in 2011, she was favored by Yu Juemin, the head coach of the national team at the time, and went out to compete in the World Cup that year, cooperating with her teammates to win the third place in the World Cup, and the Chinese women's volleyball team also got a ticket to the London Olympic Games.
