The poet Li Bai said in "Will Enter the Wine": "The sages of ancient times are lonely, but only the drinker keeps his name." "When he was young, Li Bai wanted to show his ambitions, bow down to the country, and die later. However, his dreams were shattered by reality, and he pretended to be drunk, so he went crazy, unwilling to emulate the slaves of the "Colliers", and only once drunk could he relieve his sorrows. In addition, although Li Bai once called himself a "immortal in wine" and even "drank three hundred cups at a time", in fact, the person who could drink the most in ancient times was not him.

Liu Ling, one of the "Seven Sages of the Bamboo Forest", in that era, he was a well-deserved talent, but what he pursued was not a high-ranking official Houlu and a famous Qingshi, but a drunken Party Hugh. Liu Ling's social status is very low, he is ugly, short in stature, only about 6 feet, according to the "Chinese Dynasty Weights and Measures Examination", it is probably less than 1.5 meters. However, Liu Ling's head is very useful, he likes to study the "study of Lao Zhuang", pursue leisure, rule by doing nothing, and do not stick to everything in the world.
For a person who has no concern, Liu Ling's personality is certainly very good, but once he becomes an official, it will have a negative impact on society. After achieving meritorious fame, Liu Ling served in the army under the Jianwei general Wang Rong, and after the establishment of the Jin Dynasty, everyone was going all out to develop national strength, only Liu Ling advocated the rule of inaction, he did not want anything to change in the world, as long as it was natural. Therefore, soon after, Liu Ling's colleagues were promoted one by one, and only he did nothing and lived passively.
Later, Liu Ling resigned, and he returned to his hometown again and began to drink and have fun. In the second year of the Tai Dynasty (266), the imperial court sent someone to ask Liu Ling to come back as an official, and no matter what, he was still very capable. Unexpectedly, in order to avoid being recruited by the imperial court, Liu Ling actually got drunk and drunk, then stripped off his clothes and ran to the village entrance naked. When the envoy saw that Liu Ling, who had been recuperating at home for a year, not only had not made much progress, but had become a "drunkard", he shook his head regretfully, turned around and went back home.
In fact, for Liu Ling, drinking is just a way for him to express his inner feelings, and he once wrote in the "Ode to Wine": "Only wine is a business, and the rest is known." The rules and regulations in the world are too cumbersome, Liu Ling does not want to enter the dynasty as an official, does not want to be bound by etiquette, he would rather drink day and night, sing songs at night, and wander between drunken dreams and death, only in this way will he further feel the realm of "the unity of heaven and man".
Having said that, Liu Ling's alcohol addiction is so great that every time he goes out, he will always carry a wine jug with him, and let people follow with a shovel. Why? Because he felt that sooner or later he would die on the road, so it would be more convenient for others to bury him. Later, Liu Ling's body was hollowed out by alcohol, and he was not only skinny, but also felt thirsty because he could not drink wine for a while. One day, Liu Ling drank in the wine tank, how could not let go, his wife was angry, kicked him in: Since you want to drink, drink enough! After saying that, she packed up her things and went back to her mother's house.
Three days later, her wife returned from her mother's house, and she was worried about Liu Ling in her heart, afraid that he would make a mistake. However, after entering the house, his wife saw such a scene: Liu Ling not only drank the wine tank to the sky, but also got up drunk and said 3 words with a proud face: Who else? Nowadays, these 3 words have become the mantra of young people, but they will not be drunk like Liu Ling. In addition, Liu Ling's ending is also very good, he lived until the age of 80 before he died.
