It is understood that the Purple Mountain Laboratory uses photon terahertz technology to achieve this breakthrough. Terahertz wireless communication is recognized as the core component of the 6G mobile communication system, and its frequency band frequency resources are extremely rich, which can support 100Gbps-1Tbps ultra-high-speed wireless communication, thereby significantly improving the peak transmission rate of the existing 5G.
Purple Mountain Laboratory gathered the advantages of this time to build the domestic leading photon terahertz experimental environment, after more than 3 years of difficulties, the first photon terahertz optical fiber integrated fusion of real-time transmission architecture, to achieve a single wavelength net rate of 103.125 Gbps, dual wavelength net rate of 206.25 Gbps terahertz real-time wireless transmission, communication rate than 5G 10 to 20 times higher.
It is understood that this achievement has a wide range of application prospects, can be integrated with the existing optical fiber network, constitute 100-1000Gbps wireless access to achieve ultra-high-speed indoor and outdoor wide coverage; replace the existing mobile network optical fiber, to achieve rapid deployment of 5G; replace the huge number of cables in the data center, significantly reduce costs and power consumption; used for inter-star communication, air-space integrated access and other scenarios.
