BlackBerry BlackBerry OS is out of service: features like phone calls and texting are no longer available

Recently, BlackBerry officially announced that after January 4, 2022, older services for BlackBerry 7.1 OS and earlier, BlackBerry 10 software, BlackBerry PlayBook OS 2.1 and earlier will no longer be available, and services connected through carriers or Wi-Fi will no longer run. This means that the ability to use a BlackBerry to surf the web, text, make phone calls, and even make emergency calls will no longer be available.

It is worth noting that BlackBerry devices running the Android operating system are not affected, such as BlackBerry KeyOne, Key2 and Key2 LE, etc., but most of these devices have stopped updating and are no longer officially maintained.
