On January 7th, "The Classic Song of the Four Seas – Xie Nan and Her Students' Concert" will be performed at the Zhongshan Park Music Hall. On January 4th, the famous violinist Xie Nan appeared in the music hall to interpret the highlights of the performance and the original intention of the planning.
"Following the 'Strings Move My Heart' teacher-student concert held in the Music Hall in 2018, this is the second time I have performed on the same stage with the students." Xie Nan said. Teaching at the Central Conservatory of Music for many years, she attaches great importance to the enlightenment of music students by her practical stage experience. In terms of repertoire arrangement, in the first half of the concert, works such as "Xinjiang Spring", "Chardash Dance", "Carmen Gorgeous Fantasia", "Great Beijing" span China, Italy, Poland, Russia, Argentina and other countries, with distinct styles; in the second half, Vivaldi's violin concerto "Four Seasons" and Piazzola's "Four Seasons of Buenos Aires" will change the usual order of repertoire, with Xie Nan and young performers alternately soloing.
"There are some musical elements of Vivaldi in Piazzolla's 'Seasons', and we have tried, adjusted and listened to many times to determine the current order of repertoire based on the musical melody and the intuitive feeling of the music." Xie Nan introduced. In the selection of guests, she also has many considerations: in the formal performance, Liu Ju, the permanent conductor of the Central Ballet, Lu Jingyi, associate professor of the Central Conservatory of Music, Du Xuan, chief of the Central Opera Symphony Orchestra, and the Chords Andron Chamber Orchestra will jointly take the stage, in addition, violinists Gao Shan, Zhang Jingye and Xie Haoming will appear in the return session, "Gao Shan, Zhang Jingye and Xie Haoming are my classmates, and we are all students of the late Professor Lin Yaoji, a famous Chinese violin education master. We have known each other for many years and truly witnessed each other's growth process. We know each other very well and share the same musical philosophy, and I believe it will be a very enjoyable experience. Xie Nan said.
The concert will be attended by 33 performers and students, and the violin used by solo musicians will be provided by the Yu Art Foundation and the China Foundation. Previously, the long-awaited concert was expected to take place by the end of 2021, but the pandemic has disrupted many plans. In the back and forth twists and turns, the mutual support of each link makes everyone feel cherished, Xie Nan hopes that the concert can pass on warmth and emotion to the audience, and accompany more people to start the new year in warmth and joy.
