This article was first published in the "Beijing News Children's Book". Beijing News Children's Books (xjbkids) is the children's book rudder of Book Review Weekly, which has joined forces with many publishing brands to select children's books for readers and answer educational puzzles.
It's 2022, what books are worth looking forward to in the rich and competitive children's book market? We have sorted out the new book information of many brands, selected some of the key books to be published, and listed them according to six categories: picture books, popular science picture books, bridge books, youth novels, classic IP and reference books.
Among them, picture books are suitable for children aged 3 to 6 years old to read, popular science picture books and bridge books are suitable for children aged 5 to 9 years old to read, teen novels are suitable for children around 10 years old to read, classic IP is the Chinese version or picture book version of some well-known stories, reference books are mainly functional children's books, with the change of learning environment, such books can help children understand the current society and master popular courses.
The 39 (sets) of children's books listed cannot summarize the entire children's book market, but it can be seen that girls' training, emotional relief, financial and business education, popularization of scientific knowledge, celebrity biographies, traditional culture, etc. are still common themes in children's books. When expanding the product line, children's book brands usually lock in multiple works of one author, and readers who want to know more can pay more attention to the creator.
This book list is still dominated by imported children's books, and new books that are not here and original children's books will continue to be launched in the monthly children's book list.
