The troops of the Second Battalion, led by Lin Ziyuan's battalion commander, lost contact with the sub-district headquarters after the breakthrough, and they moved to the central village of Shenze County on the night of May 26. At dawn, they encountered another 3-way attack by the Japanese army, and they concentrated their firepower and killed a bloody road to break out. On the 27th, Lin Ziyuan led his troops to Gaojiazhuang in Shenze County, just joined the Eight Companies, and then encountered the enemy's attack, fought until dark, surrounded by the enemy, and later led by local compatriots, broke out from the two tunnels. In the Southern Northern Song Dynasty of Shenze County, they fought for a whole day with the Twenty-second Regiment of the Seventh Division, and together with the brother troops, created the miracle of the Songzhuang breakthrough. In September, the force had more than one company left, led by Wicker and others, detoured through Jin-Cha-Ji, Yuezheng Tailu, and returned the police regiment's structure in Zaolin Village, Zanhuang County, Taihang First Subdistrict. Although these battles were not fought in the Sixth Division, they should be recorded in the combat history of the Second Battalion. The Second Battalion of the First Regiment of the Jizhong Garrison Brigade is a strong steel unit that has resisted the vicious enemy who has multiplied their numbers for 6 consecutive times, and although it has suffered huge losses, it has successfully defended the command organ of the sub-district, which is worthy of being a heroic unit cultivated by our Party and will always be a model for us to learn.

When the enemy "swept up" Shennan for the second time, Liu Luxue led a brigade around Huilongmiao, Chen Erzhuang, and Sunjia Village, and finally hid for 3 days in the west of Yanjiacheng near the enemy's stronghold, Jiaqiao, because there were too many enemy strongholds to concentrate on activities, so the guerrillas were dispersed into squads to carry out activities. After repeated "sweeping" of the Shennan region, after a short rest and mobilization, in early June, the focus of the "sweeping" shifted to the areas south of Hengshui, Shuji, and Jinxian counties south of the Shide Railway. Since the anti-"sweeping campaign," most of our troops and county guerrillas in Lunan have penetrated deep behind enemy lines, and there are only prefectural committees and special offices in the base area, the Lunan Headquarters, the Third Battalion of the First Regiment, and the Shuji County Brigade (divided into two units). Before the "sweeping", they lived in the area of Wolf's Den, Lonely City, Mengjiazhuang, Hengshangying, and North and South Zengzhuang. When the situation in Lunan was urgent, the leading organs moved south to the villages around Sha Lump.
The enemy's great "sweep" of Lunan was probably around June 3 (some say it was the 29th day of the fourth month of the lunar calendar). On this day, the enemy at Hengshui and Jixian docks attacked along the area north of the Fuyang River. Under the cover of the guard battalion (about two companies) of the prefectural party committee, our party, government, and military organs withdrew while fighting; the organs were transferred to Fanjiazhuang in Ji County, on the north bank of the Fuyang River; most of the personnel of the organs crossed to Henan; and the leaders of the prefectural party committee and the "South Finger" remained on the north bank to observe the enemy's situation. Later, an enemy was spotted rushing in, and in a very urgent situation, the commissar of the division grabbed a light machine gun and fired fiercely at the enemy, repelling the attacking enemy.
The guard battalion retreated late because it covered the leading organs, and was surrounded by the enemy at Jiang Zhuang at about 9 o'clock on the same day, along with the seven and eight district squads of Shuji County. Jiang Zhuang is a small village, there are more than 50 families, the house is very short, not conducive to defense, fierce fighting until about 1 p.m., finally because the enemy is outnumbered, except for a very small number of survivors, a total of more than 40 people were sacrificed, the battalion commander Zhang Jiagan was seriously injured, under the rescue and care of my basic masses, I was able to get out of danger.
On the second day of the battle in Jiangzhuang, the Japanese mixed Ninth Brigade withdrew to its original garrison, and the leading organs in the south of our road, the Jingao County Party Committee, and the Shuji County First District District Committee learned that the enemy had been added along the Shide Road and were preparing to "sweep up" the news that our base area was being "swept away." The leaders of the Jingao County Party Committee went deep into the peach forest in Taoyuan Village, Jin County, and the county brigade also moved north to hide in the wild wheat fields around Dongxi Pucheng near the railway. Under the leadership of Commissar Kuang, I "southed" and inserted it westward to the village of Beihuanli near the Ningjin Sizhilan stronghold. A large number of enemies from the Sizhilan stronghold rushed eastward into our base area. Wang Yu, secretary of the first district party committee, led the district squad to retreat south to hide in the ditch south of Xinji Tianjing Village, and monitored the enemy who was dispatched.
On the same day, the enemy in Gongjiatai, Motou and other strongholds also moved to the south of the road to cooperate with the "sweeping.". Li Zhanbin, the leading comrade of the Shuji County CPC Committee and the leader of the brigade, led a small team (more than 20 people) to live in Xinji Zenjiazhuang. When the enemy attacked Xinji Andi Checheng and Zenjiazhuang in a divided way, the county brigade was surrounded by the enemy in the pear forest between Zhujiazhuang and Xicaozhuang, and after fierce fighting, only four people rushed out, and more than 20 people below the captain died heroically. Another part of the county brigade fought with the enemy day and night in the area of Dongmengzhuang, Mudian, and Lujiazhuang, and suffered no losses. Under the leadership of battalion commander Yuan Jinfeng, three battalions of our regiment have been operating alone for a long time in the border area between Shuji County and Hengshui County. Before the enemy "swept up," in coordination with lubei's counter-"sweep," under the command of Long Fucai, director of the political department of the sub-district, he once attacked the Xinji Muqiu stronghold; when he learned of the news that the enemy was going to make a big "sweep," he immediately retreated, fought a fierce battle with the encircled enemy near Xinji Mudian, and then moved to the south bank of the Fuyang River and jumped out of the enemy's encirclement circle. When the enemy returned to the stronghold on the same day, I "pointed south" from Ningdong to the north and south law villages (belonging to the present-day Heyan Town of Taocheng District) that turned back from Ningdong to the base area overnight. In these several battles to counter the enemy's "intensive sweeping," our army suffered heavy losses except for the battle of Lijiajiao in Shenxian County.
