Google will buy Israeli cybersecurity company Siemplify for $500 million

According to Sina Technology, Google will acquire Israeli cybersecurity startup Siemplify for about $500 million. It is also Google's first acquisition of an Israeli security company.

Google will use Siemplify as the foundation of its cybersecurity business in Israel, which is also part of Google's cloud business. Siemplify's co-founders Alon Cohen, Amos Stern and Garry Fatakhov will remain with the company.

Founded in 2015, Siemplify is headquartered in Israel with offices in the United States and London. The company has about 200 employees, and after the transaction is completed, those employees will join Google.
