The Beijing Winter Olympics will have a total of 7 major events, 15 sub-events and 109 minor events, and the qualifying points competition is expected to end on January 16, 2022.

In the short track speed skating event that attracted the most attention, the Chinese team won the full quota of seats in all 6 individual events, and each individual event could send 3 people to compete. This means that the Chinese short track speed skating team will send five male and five female athletes to the Beijing Winter Olympics. According to the announcement issued by the Winter Games Center of the State General Administration of Sport, Ren Ziwei and Wu Dajing have been qualified for the Winter Olympics, and the remaining athletes need to be selected.

In the speed skating event, the Chinese team has won 22 places at the Beijing Winter Olympics. Among them, the women's event won a total of 14 places, covering 7 sub-events of 500 meters, 1000 meters, 1500 meters, 3000 meters, 5000 meters, group departure and group chase. The men's event has won 8 places in the 500m, 1000m, 1500m, group start and group chase 5 sub-events. At present, only the men's 5,000 meters and 10,000 meters have not yet qualified.

At the Beijing Winter Olympics, there are a total of 14 small events in the speed skating event, which will produce 14 gold medals.
