Official announcement: Correa officially renewed his contract until 2026!

Angel Correa has renewed his contract with the club until 2026 and will wear a red and white shirt for the next four consecutive seasons. Since officially joining the team in December 2014, Correa has played a total of 305 games for the Rosso Rosso, scoring 53 goals, and it was his second-time debut against Rayo Vallecano that helped us get off to the new year, in addition to contributing 51 assists.

Correa is currently the third most appearance-making player in Atletico Madrid (309), behind Cork (519) and Oblac (323).

Correa made his debut on 22 August 2015 against Las Parmas at the Calderon Stadium, where he was also the player who scored his last goal at the Calderon Stadium. The excellent Argentine player paid off with his hard work and persistence, with the 2018 Europa League being his first champions trophy at Atletico Madrid, and a few months later, a second trophy also came quickly, with the team beating Real Madrid in Hertha Berlin to win the European Super Cup of the season.

Correa delivered nine goals and nine assists in the 20/21 La Liga winning season and contributed five goals and two assists in the final nine rounds, including the crucial goal against Valladolid, which ultimately helped the team win the 11th La Liga title.
