La Nazione reported in a print edition on Monday that Torreira will complete his transfer to Fiorentina at the end of this month.

Fiorentina will meet with Arsenal at the end of the month to pay for its €15 million buyout.

This clause is incorporated into the loan contract at the beginning of the season, and there is a selective buyout at the end of the season. But the Uruguay international has been excellent this season, with Fiorentina tending to activate the option early.

Corriere Fiorentino reported in December that Torreira's performance had conquered all of Fiorentina's, that it was worth signing him on a permanent transfer, and that negotiations between the two sides would begin right away.

According to La Nazione, talks will take place this month.

The only concern is that previous reports suggested that Fiorentina might try to cut the price and make the €15 million fee a little lower. Frankly, they are not active in this regard.

Torreira has played well this season and even if it's not Fiorentina, Arsenal should be able to find clubs willing to pay $15m. At the moment he is worth the price, so Serie A clubs can make this investment or watch him run to other teams in the summer window.

The situation in last summer window seemed to be repeating itself, with Roma having another difficulty completing a deal for Arsenal's players – this time replaced by Niles.

Corriere della Sera reported that Roma and Arsenal still failed to agree on a transfer for Niles.

Arsenal allegedly stuck to their position and did not accept a buyout clause below 15 million euros, while Rome wanted to pay 10 million euros.

In the summer window last year, two of the same teams had the same type of negotiations. At the time, Roma wanted to sign Xhaka and were willing to pay 15 million euros, but Arsenal asked for 20 million euros.

Roma repeatedly refused to raise their offers and missed the opportunity to bring in Xhaka, who signed Arsenal on a contract extension.

Now, Niles is trading for the same amount as Roma offered Xhaka last year, and they're trying to bargain with Arsenal again.

Perhaps this time Roma are more inclined to think that Niles himself will push for the completion of the transfer.

Xhaka is clearly willing to stay at Arsenal and eventually renew his contract with the team, but Niles's situation could be different.

Football.London reported that Niles was leaning out of Arsenal in favor of the winter window and that a mandatory buyout clause could be added to the contract.

Subsequently, "Calciomercato" also reported that the two teams failed to negotiate the number of appearances that triggered the mandatory buyout clause.

Italian journalist Gianluigi Longari said Niles had agreed on personal terms with Roma, but there were still differences between clubs.
