Love the past forever - Fei Yuqing's "Flying Saucer Trilogy"

author:Song Er broke the lecture

Recently, "XUE HUA PIAO PIAO" has inexplicably been on the hot search, and it is still high on foreign music charts. Frankly speaking, I didn't listen to Fei Yuqing's songs too much, and the only time I watched him was his farewell tour last year, and it was with the opportunity of the "lifetime series" that he supported the box office of Chengdu Station. The recent popular "XUE HUA PIAO PIAO" comes from the Tony Institution period, which is often mentioned by Fei Yuqing, and I will not repeat it here. The only period I like about Fei Yuqing was the three albums he released on UFO Records between 1992 and 1994. They are: "Love Past Forever", "Lifelong Friends" and "Good Night Song", these three albums can also be called Fei Yuqing's "Flying Saucer Trilogy".

Love the past forever - Fei Yuqing's "Flying Saucer Trilogy"

Compared with the youthful and ancient taste of the Tony Agency period, UFO Records is more accurate in Fei Yuqing's song and image positioning. Careful friends will find that Fei Yuqing's album covers in the flying saucer period are all uniform suit styles, and the songs are also slow songs of affectionate models, which are in line with the characteristics of his voice. All this is thanks to the production of Li Shouquan RIO Studio, and one of the "flying saucer two Lee" we often say is Li Shouquan. Since Fei Yuqing stepped into the first album of the flying saucer, "Love Deep Past Until Forever", "tailor-made" and "concept setting" have become the main focus of Li Shouquan's work. Although Fei Yuqing can perfectly interpret the song, there is less personalized things. It just so happens that this is what Li Shouquan is good at (before that, Li Shouquan had successfully brought out singers with distinct personalities such as Su Rui and Wang Jie for flying saucers).

The title songs of "Love Deep Past Forever" "Love Deep Past" and "Deep Into Things" are actually a song, but the former appears at the beginning of the album as a full-length song, and the latter only has a short section as the end of the album, this concept of a multi-purpose song in the album is more common in the works of flying saucers at that time. The author of "Deep Love in the Past" and "Deep in Things" is Li Ziheng, who we are all familiar with.

"Love Forever" is also the only Fei Yuqing album I have ever bought. At that time, the reason for buying this album was not because of Fei Yuqing, but because there were three songs on the album adapted from Age & Aska. They are "You Are My Eternal Nostalgia", "Forever" and "The Final Chapter". The original song of "You Are My Eternal Nostalgia" is Asuka Ryo's solo work "伝わりますか" (Chuanda?). ), the memory is that the flying saucer also filmed the MV. I have to say that Li Ziheng's filled words add a lot to this already moving melody, sublimating a love song into a feeling of nostalgia; "Forever" is the title song of Chage & Aska's first album, "Wind Dance", and Zheng Zhihua filled in the Chinese words. At that time, Zheng Zhihua had just jumped to the flying saucer record, and his filling in words for Fei Yuqing was also a meaningful intersection. At Fei Yuqing's farewell tour last year, the Encore stage was accompanied by "Final Chapter", and the big screen played back the bits and pieces of Fei Yuqing's entry into the music world, which could not help but make people have mixed feelings.

There is also a song on the album, which was later known for being covered by Andy Lau. This song is "Acacia is longer than a dream". Andy Lau's Cantonese version is the title song of the same name from his first album during the Warner period, "True My Style". In the last variety show "Our Song" that Fei Yuqing participated in before retiring, he sang "Acacia Longer Than Dream" and "You Are My Eternal Homesickness" with "Houlang" artist Xu Weizhou. These two songs are included in the album "Love Forever", which can also be regarded as a "confession" for fans who like his flying saucer period.

Fei Yuqing's second album "Friends of a Lifetime" on flying saucer slightly adjusted the production ideas, and the theme of the album changed from "nostalgia" to "friends". I have the impression that Li Shouquan has made many records for others, and the songs created for others are more "ink-saving". The title song of the same name of this album, "Lifelong Friend", is a work composed by Li Shouquan; Jin Tiezhang, who wrote "Acacia Is Longer than a Dream", also handed over the more "Taiwanese ballet" this time, "Too Late to Leave the Dream to You" and "The Longer You Love, the More Lonely". There is still an adaptation of Chaage & Aska on the album called "Winter Nights". The original version of Asuka Cool sings the cold of winter nights, while Fei Yuqing's voice brings people a kind of warmth. Counting "A Game" from the early Tony Institution period, Fei Yuqing sang a total of 5 Chaage & Aska works.

Love the past forever - Fei Yuqing's "Flying Saucer Trilogy"

▲ Fei Yuqing's "Goodnight Song" · 1994

After the two original albums "Love Forever" and "Friends of a Lifetime" were well received, Fei Yuqing launched a famous cover album "Good Night Song" on the flying saucer. The most famous song on the album should be "Good Night Song" that is played every day in Taiwanese shopping malls, and other songs may be too good because the original song is too good, so many people have forgotten Fei Yuqing's version. For example, Zhou Huajian's "Flower Heart", Huang An's "New Mandarin Duck Butterfly Dream", Rowan's "Dust Edge" and so on. It is not difficult to see that this "golden song collection" is completely the number of fever discs that overwhelmed the world later in the selection of songs, and it seems to have laid the groundwork for Fei Yuqing's later launch of the cover album of old songs in Warner. Among the many "golden songs", there is a song on the album that seems to be less famous, whether it is the original singer or this song, but I like it - "Negative Heart". Here is a pass, because its original singer, will be introduced later, now just need to listen to the song, and remember that this is also the work of Teacher Li Ziheng.

From a professional point of view, fei Yuqing's works in the flying saucer period can only be said to be decent ballet albums. There is not even Fei Yuqing's later cover album "hit", which is refreshing. But I think that these albums are not only Fei Yuqing's interpretation of these works, but also the production concept of Li Shouquan and Li Ziheng, at least let people know that Fei Yuqing has also had the experience of being "packaged".
