At the UFC Fighting Night Tournament in Las Vegas, the United States, on February 27, Beijing time, a new light heavyweight duel has been added, Ryan Spahn against Moldovan rising star Ain Kutraba.

Ryan Span (19-7, 5 K, 11 S) is 30 years old and has a height of 196cm with an arm span of 207cm. He began his professional MMA career in 2013, winning the Hero FC MiddleWeight Championship in 2014, the LFA Light Heavyweight Championship in 2018, then winning the first set of the White Dana Draft, and joining the UFC in the same year with a (14-5) result and four consecutive wins. He then won four straight wins at the UFC, including KO "Minotaur" Antonio Rogerio Nogueira in the first set in May 2019, Devin Clark in the second set in October, and Sam Alvey in points in May 2020. Unfortunately, September was terminated by Johnny Walker's first KO defeat streak. Last March, TKO Misha Cirkunov lost the first leg by Anthony Smith in the first set. Spann is currently ranked 13th in the UFC official ranking of light heavyweights.

Ain Courtraba (16-6-1, 12 K, 2 S, 1 N) is 28 years old and has a height of 185cm with an arm span of 191cm. He began his professional MMA MMA mixed martial arts career in 2012 and joined UFC in 2016 with a (11-1) result and seven consecutive wins. Lost in the third set by Misha Cirkunov in his UFC debut in June, winning in points in October and Jared Cannonier in December. Two consecutive wins were first-leg KO opponents, with Brazilian veteran Glover Teixeira unfortunately defeated in the second set in April 2019, TKO TKO Khalil Rountree Jr. in September, 38 seconds TKO in February 2020 by Ancarav in the first set, and ko in the first set again in October. Drew with Dustin Jacoby last May and just beat Devin Clark in September points. Cutraba is currently ranked 15th in the UFC official lightweight class.

The headline main event was Benel Darius (21-4-1, 5 K, 8 S) against Russian rising star Islam Makhachev (21-1, 3 K, 10 S). There was also a match between China's Rong Zhong (18-4, 12 K, 4 S) against Chilean rookie Ignacio Bajamonds (12-4, 9 K, 0 S). Russian rising star Arman Sarukian (17-2, 6 K, 5 S) against Spanish rising star Joel Avarez (19-2, 3 K, 16 S). Misha Sikunov (15-7, 5 K, 8 S) vs. Markmud Muradov (25-7, 17 K, 3 S).
