On December 25th and 26th, after two days of fierce competition, the final evaluation of the 12th Guangdong Music Invitational Competition in 2021, guided by the Guangzhou Municipal Federation of Literature and Literature and the Guangdong Provincial Musicians Association, and sponsored by the Guangzhou Musicians Association and the Guangzhou Wind Music Society, came to a successful conclusion.
Adhering to the concept of "integrity, innovation and inheritance", this year's Guangdong Music Invitational Tournament takes "Yunshan Zhushui Ode to the Party Grace" as the theme, and through Guangdong music, Western wind music and other performance forms, Acura Party, Acura Motherland and Acura People, further promotes the popularization and improvement of Guangdong music, and promotes the creation and performance level of orchestras in the region.
Guangdong music is the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage announced by the State Council. It originated in Guangzhou and the Pearl River Delta, and then spread to the whole country and the regions visited by Chinese people in the world, and enjoys a high reputation in the world. Since 2008, the Guangdong Music Invitational Competition has been unveiled with the support and guidance of the Guangzhou Municipal Federation of Literature and Literature and the Guangdong Provincial Musicians Association, and has been successfully held for 12 consecutive years so far. The competition insists on promoting Guangdong music among young people, sowing the seeds of national music in the hearts of the general public, promoting the establishment of youth orchestras such as the Guangzhou Wind Music Society Youth Wind Orchestra and the Taishan Youth Guangdong Music Troupe, and forming the first Guangdong wind band group - Dongguan Cantonese Opera Development Center "Pipe and Mingfang", condensing and gathering a large number of students and social orchestras.
According to the organizers, the scale of participation in this year's Guangdong Music Invitational Competition reached a new high, with the number of people reaching 5632. The participants included students, enterprises, associations, non-governmental organizations, etc. from universities, primary and secondary schools; the teams came from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, as well as Hunan and Anhui, including 182 folk music teams, 166 Western orchestras and 66 ensemble teams.
The judges of this invitational competition are also composed of heavyweight experts from provinces and municipalities, including Jin Xugeng, executive vice chairman of the Provincial Music Association, Professor Li Guoan and Professor Liang Hanhua of Xinghai Conservatory of Music, Chen Fangyi, the inheritor of the national intangible cultural heritage and a national first-class player, and Yu Lefu, a famous Gaohu performer. The competition allows the public to inherit the essence of Guangdong music in learning And interpreting Guangdong music.
2021 is the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, and the Propaganda Department of the Guangzhou Municipal Party Committee of the Communist Party of China and the Chinese Musicians Association jointly organized the creation of the original Guangzhou suite song "I Believe in You". In order to promote the innovation and reform of Guangdong music, the organizing committee of this competition organized experts to adapt the songs of "Kapok Red", "Oriental Spirit", "Yunshan Zhushui", "A Drunken Hometown", "The Pearl River in the Dream" and other songs in guangzhou group songs into wind music and folk music repertoire with Guangdong music characteristics for the participating orchestras and players to play, with a new arrangement and performance of multi-faceted display, through the symphony of national instruments and Western instruments, enhance and enhance the influence and dissemination of group songs, becoming a highlight of this year's competition.
