"Books and Far Away" submissions | landscapes and rivers are beautiful and the gardens are profound

Since ancient times, Chinese's pursuit of landscape garden art has never stopped. China's landscape gardens are not simply stacks of mountains, water, flowers and trees, but a clever fusion of nature and skill. Pavilions and water pavilions, mountain trees and jungles, all reveal people's pursuit of natural beauty, showing people's desire for leisure and leisure. The love of landscape gardens is actually people's love for magnificent mountains and rivers, and it is also the love for the great motherland.

The book "Swallowing Mountains and Huaigu: The Art of Chinese Landscape Gardens" is written by Mr. Wang Juyuan. The art of Chinese gardens has a history of more than 2,000 years, but it was only established in 1951 that Mr. Wang Juyuan was the founder of the garden discipline. In this book, Mr. Wang Juyuan sorts out the historical development and artistic traditions of Chinese gardens. With 188 exquisite illustrations and documentary materials, the book presents the artistic essence of traditional Chinese gardens in front of the reader's eyes, which is a precious popular science book left to the world.

Natural landscapes such as babbling water and light flowers are objects of praise and inspiration for innovation. The American scholar Maslow defined aesthetic needs as high-level needs. Chinese like natural landscapes and hope to live in the city as close as possible to natural landscapes, the art of landscape gardens came into being. For thousands of years, Chinese craftsmen have used their exquisite skills to give new life to landscape gardens and leave us with a rich cultural heritage. After reading the whole book, I even more lamented the design of various landscape gardens on the motherland, and admired the exquisite skills of the craftsmen.

There are representative works of landscape gardens throughout the country. As a Lingnan native, I can't help but think of the garden restaurants in Guangzhou. "The grains in the plate are hard, and the pavilion outside the column is painted", this is Mr. Guo Moruo's inscription in 1962, hanging in the most conspicuous place in the welcome hall of Panxi Restaurant. Rockery fish ponds, curved corridor boats, rich in layers, staggered. The ingenious design attracted many literati and inkers, leaving behind a series of poems. Beiyuan Restaurant, one of the three major garden restaurants in Guangzhou, is hidden in the noisy downtown area. Shaded by green trees, pink walls and tiles, rich and quaint garden design, clever layout, carefully carved, inheriting the traditional characteristics of Lingnan. After visiting the North Garden Restaurant, Mr. Liang Sicheng once commented: "This is a work that integrates architecture and garden environment, and has a strong local style. "Full of natural interest, but without losing the atmosphere of secular life, this is the pursuit of Lingnan people."

The quaint and quiet park pavilion has become a place for the elderly to entertain and talk; the winding community stone road has become a paradise for children to chase and play; the chic and microscopic home courtyard has become a resting place for office workers to put aside their troubles. Today's landscape gardens are no longer the exclusive domain of kings and scholars, whether it is a corner of the park or a small street scene, it can let ordinary people wander in the wonderful nature, like a natural landscape garden, enjoy the pleasure of hiding in the city. There is no noise of cars and horses in the human environment, and all of them are self-biased because of their distant hearts.
