He threw the gun under his head and almost got shot, only to be revealed a month later!

Lieutenant General Wu Kehua was a legendary PLA general who served as commander of artillery and railway troops, commander of Chengdu Military Region, Xinjiang Military Region, and Guangzhou Military Region, but when he joined the Red Army, he was almost shot for losing his gun.

He threw the gun under his head and almost got shot, only to be revealed a month later!

What's going on?

Soon after Wu Kehua joined the Red Army, he was selected to study at the Xinjiang Military and Political School, the school of the Red Army, and after the first stage of study, he was assigned to the special agent company of the independent regiment for internship, and the company commander gave him an "old sleeve" with only a half-cut barrel. Wu Kehua was carrying this rusty broken gun, still sincerely happy.

Because many warriors still hold bird claws or large knives in their hands. The gun is a rare treasure for the Northeastern Jiangsu Region, and although the "old sleeve" is "broken", the gun is still a gun after all.

Because this gun only has a half-cut barrel, the bullets fly not far to the ground, and his bullet bag has only 4 rounds, which is not enough at all, and it is difficult to "kill" the enemy soldiers on the battlefield. Who knows, this remnant gun not only did not bring Wu Kehua any glory, but almost ruined his revolutionary career.

He threw the gun under his head and almost got shot, only to be revealed a month later!

One day at dawn, the squad leader from the captive soldier screamed to wake up Wu Kehua, who was still asleep: "What about your gun?"

As soon as the squad leader shouted, Wu Kehua, who was half asleep and half awake, immediately reached under the pillow and touched it, and suddenly jumped up: the gun was gone! Also, it cannot be found near the floor shop.

In peacetime, the troops require soldiers to keep their guns from their bodies at all times. Wu Kehua did not dare to slack off on this "half gun" at all, and always slept with the back of the gun. At this moment, he thought that the squad leader or his comrades were joking, hid his gun, and hurriedly said:

"Don't make jokes like that!"

But when you look up at everyone's demeanor, you know that the situation is serious, and the "old sleeve" that only has a half-cut barrel is indeed missing! The gun is the life of a warrior, and the loss of the weapon in his hand is something that the secret service company absolutely does not allow, and Wu Kehua cried urgently:

"I have a gun strap on my head, and there is a guard at the door, so why did I get stolen?"

He was immediately detained.

He threw the gun under his head and almost got shot, only to be revealed a month later!

Although he repeatedly complained that he did not intentionally lose it, he was escorted to the rear for examination and nearly shot. Because of the mercy of Fang Zhimin, chairman of the Revolutionary Committee of the Northeast Gansu Special Administrative Region, Wu Kehua was only locked up for a month.

A month later, the Independent Regiment's special agent company returned to the rear, and the "gun case" was solved.

It turned out that Wu Kehua's gun had been stolen by the prisoner squad leader.

He prepared to escape with his gun and deliberately stole Wu Kehua's gun. Subsequently, during a battle, he escaped with two guns on his back, and the soldiers found out and were killed on the spot by the order of the company commander.

Only after the "gun case" that Wu Kehua was harmed did the truth come out, so Wu Kehua returned to the secret service company. Soon after, he became the deputy squad leader.

In 1955, Wu Kehua was awarded the rank of lieutenant general.
