The reporter learned from the Municipal Bureau of Commerce on December 30 that a total of 901 first stores (including flagship stores) landed in Beijing in 2021, which is nearly 5 times the number of first stores in 2020. Among them, 205 new first stores were added in the fourth quarter, and the number of new first stores in a single quarter continued to increase significantly.

In 2021, international brands have settled in Beijing, and a large number of well-known high-end retail brands at home and abroad have appeared in the form of global flagship stores and concept stores to create high-energy first stores, including the Italian brand FILA global concept store, Li Ning's high-end sports fashion brand "LI-NING1990" global first store, The French jewelry accessories brand STILLLITE global concept store, the Spanish brand TINYCOTTONS Asian flagship store, the British brand Manchester United Dream Theatre Asia's first store, etc. From the perspective of the type of first store, among the 901 first stores, including 3 first stores in the world, 7 first stores in Asia, 59 first stores in China, and 832 first stores in Beijing.

Chinese local brands are on the rise, with Internet celebrity brands from all over the country such as Tao Taoju, Xiaofang Niu, and Mo Mo Dim Sum Bureau coming to Beijing; online consumer brands such as Xiaoxian Stew and Jialuo Life opening their first offline physical stores in Beijing. Among the first stores in Beijing this year, there are 767 Chinese brands, accounting for about 85%; there are 134 international brands, accounting for about 15%.

In 2021, Beijing attracted a total of fashion brands from 23 countries and regions, including 29 American brands, 21 Italian brands, 18 French and Japanese brands, 11 Korean brands, 8 German brands, 4 Swiss and British brands, 3 Australian brands, 2 Belgian, Thai, Spanish and Singapore brands, 1 Denmark, Norway, Sweden and India, and 6 multinational co-brands.

From the perspective of business distribution, the number of first stores in the catering format ranked first, with a total of 468, accounting for 52%; the first store of the retail format had a total of 276 stores, accounting for more than 30%; leisure and entertainment, life services, and children's experience formats were 75, 52 and 24 respectively, accounting for about 17% of the total.

From the perspective of the distribution of commercial circles, Sanlitun Commercial Circle is a veritable first store harvester, with 136 first stores; 127 first stores in the CBD business district, of which more than one-third are international brands, with distinct international attributes; the five major business districts such as Wangfujing, Chaowai, Yanbao Xiejie, Shuangjing, and Wangjing attract more than 30 first stores; and xidan, Ao, Zhongguancun, Fengtai Science and Technology Park, Chongwenmen and other commercial circles attract more than 15 first stores.

From the perspective of distribution area, Chaoyang District has 483 first stores, accounting for nearly 54%, ranking first among all districts; Dongcheng District, Haidian District, Xicheng District and Fengtai District have 142 first stores, 73, 49 and 43 each; the traffic effect of Universal Beijing Resort has continued to release, and the number of first stores settled in the city sub-center has surged to 42 throughout the year; daxing district has 22 first stores, ranking first in the new city.
