Although he has quite a personality, he treats people who are born poor and have talent and virtue like a master; likewise, for those who have no talent, even the princes are blind. After the extremely powerful Zhang Shicheng occupied Wuzhong, the famous people of Jiangnan competed for support, and only Yang Weizhen did not go. Yang Weizhen once went to Suzhou, let Zhang Shicheng know, took out the imperial wine to specially entertain Yang Weizhen, drank half of the wine, Yang Weizhen gave a poem: "The mountains are full of smoke, and the royal wine comes every year on the sea."
