During these 29 years, Liu Chong, the emperor of the Northern Han Dynasty, changed Yang Chonggui to a clan surname in order to win people's hearts and minds, so he became Liu Chonggui. During the reign of Emperor Ruizong Liu Jun, Liu Chonggui was renamed Liu Jiye. In 960, Zhao Kuangyin launched the Chen Qiao Mutiny and established the Song Dynasty. When Zhao Kuangyin reached Taiyuan, he was met with strong resistance from Liu Jiye.
In 979, Emperor Taizong of Song attacked the Northern Han Dynasty, and the Emperor Liu Jiyuan of the Northern Han Dynasty surrendered when Liu Jiye was fighting hard with the Song army, and finally Liu Jiye also surrendered, and after returning to the Song Dynasty, he returned to the Yang surname and single name. In the third year of Yongxi (986), the Song Tai Sect sent a three-way army to cut down the Liao, and Empress Xiao demanded that Yang Ye be captured alive.
In the middle of the road, Cao Bin, Tian Chongjin, and Pan Meiwei were defeated, and the Liao army facilitated a frontal conflict between the Song army.
