The 205th edition of the UFC Fighting Night, to be held on March 19, features a high-profile heavyweight showdown, in which Russian star Shamil Abdullasimov takes on British rising star Tom Aspinor.
Shamir Abdullasimov (20-6, 9 K, 4 S) is 40 years old and has a height of 191cm with an arm span of 193cm. He began his professional MMA career in 2008, won the ADFC heavyweight championship in 2011, joined the UFC in 2015 with a (15-2) result and three consecutive wins, and has achieved (5-4) results in the UFC so far. Three consecutive wins began in 2017, with a first-time win over KO Chase Sherman, a point-out victory over Andrei Arlovski and a second-set TKO Marcin Tybura. He started his professional MMA career in 2014 and joined the UFC in 2020 with a (7-2) score and three consecutive wins, and has so far won four consecutive games in the UFC, with the first leg TKO Jack Collier and Alan Baudot, in the second set in February this year and TKO Sergey Sergey in the first leg in September Spivak）。 Aspinor is currently ranked 10th in the UFC official rankings.
The match also confirmed a high-profile welterweight, with Wales unbeaten rising star Jack Shore (15-0, 4 K, 8 S) against Russian unbeaten rookie Umar Numagormyedov (13-0, 1 K, 6 S).
