Lei Jun: Xiaomi Mi 12 Pro world premiere Sony IMX707 light intake increased by 49%

After confirming that the Xiaomi Mi 12 adopts Sony IMX766 CMOS, Lei Jun announced on Weibo that the Xiaomi Mi 12 Pro will debut sony IMX707 worldwide.

Lei Jun said that this is one of Sony's top sensors, 1/1.28 inch oversized bottom, 2.44um fusion of large pixels, 49% increase in light intake.

Night Owl algorithm has been greatly upgraded, night scene color restoration, highlight suppression, night scene photography is better, and night scene video shooting is supported.

Currently, information on the IMX707 is currently lacking. However, from the core specifications, it looks very close to the previously released IMX700, and it is speculated that it should be an upgraded and optimized version of the IMX700, and the pixel should still be 50 million.

However, the Samsung ISOCELL GN2 CMOS, the world premiere of the previous generation of Xiaomi 11 Ultra Super Cup, has not yet confirmed whether it will continue to be adopted.

This CMOS uses a 1/1.12-inch global maximum base, with pixels of 1.4μm, and the fusion is an unprecedented 2.8μm.

Speculation is that GN2 is likely to be left to the Xiaomi Mi 12 Ultra, once again hitting the top of the DXO list.
