Lu Rongting was born in 1859, Nanning, Guangxi, his ancestors have always been farmers, so there is no savings and wealth, Lu Rongting lost his father at an early age, after his mother married a new family, he has been living a life under the fence, although the adoptive mother is also good to him, but because it is not his own, the estrangement is always different.
Later, Lu Rongting, who missed his birth mother, ran to the county town alone, and his birth mother was overjoyed, and found an opportunity for him to go to school, this time can be described as the most beautiful memory of Lu Rongting's childhood, but unfortunately everything was always unsatisfactory, only to be reunited with his mother for a year, Lu Rongting's mother died, overnight, Lu Rongting became a bitter person without a father and a wife, forced to live on the street, and even bullied by local hooligans several times. Lu Rongting stopped and walked all the way to Guangxi. At the beginning, Lu Rongting did several jobs but it was not smooth, and he became a bandit by mistake.
If he had been a bandit, perhaps there would have been no later King of Guangxi, fortunately, in the third year after becoming a bandit, Lu Rongting and the Qing army hooked up with each other, he not only became a family, his career was also thriving, he became a member of the Three Points Society, he wandered between black and white, gained a lot of connections, and accumulated a certain status. But Lu Rongting's ambition was not only this, he officially joined the Qing army after that, with a courage that was not afraid of death, Lu Rongting was promoted and became a sentinel.
However, not long after this stable life, Lu Rongting was forced to flee again, and his unit was not valued by the Qing government, and became a team of scattered soldiers that no one wanted. Lu Rongting was unwilling, and stayed with some trusted men and fought with the French soldiers to the end. In the days of fighting against France, Lu Rongting grew faster and faster, gradually took the appearance of an excellent commander, and slowly some people heard about his deeds and came to surrender, Lu Rongting's troops were not only not eliminated in one battle after another, but also expanded to five thousand people, the French army was anxious, and asked the Qing government to "suppress bandits", but the Qing government did not agree.
Lu Rongting not only fought against the French army, but also hated the bandits who harassed the lives of ordinary people, because he acted in a just manner, and Wang Fangtian recruited him and entrusted him with heavy responsibilities. Under the appreciation of Bo Le, Lu Rongting naturally continued to rise, and laid down an excellent record. By chance, Lu Rongting became friends with Sun Yat-sen when he was studying in Japan and became a member of the League.
Although in the eyes of outsiders, he and the revolutionary party are not the same way, Lu Rongting has actually been quietly covering the revolutionary party to escape the encirclement. His extraordinary agility allowed Lu Rongting to continue to be promoted and eventually became the governor of Guangxi. Unfortunately, after his identity went up, Lu Rongting's revolutionary will was also shaken, and he began to cater to Yuan Shikai, and even cut the grass and roots of the revolutionaries to eliminate the troubles, and even fully supported Yuan Shikai's plan to become emperor. After seeing Yuan Shikai lose power, he judged the situation and instantly turned against him and joined the ranks of opposing Yuan Shikai. In May 1924, at the behest of Li Zongren and others, Lu Rongting was electrified and went to the field, and in his later years he lived mainly in Shanghai, where he died of illness in 1928 at the age of 69.
Probably under the influence of Lu Rongting, Lu Rongting's descendants did not live very well. Although Lu Rongting had two sons under his name, only one of them was born to him, and it was precisely this biological son who died at the hands of Yuan Shikai in the struggle between Lu Rongting and Yuan Shikai.
