Everybody: Ceballos is very close to returning to Betis on loan, which is expected to be announced after Christmas

According to the Daily Sports newspaper, Ceballos is very close to returning to Betis to play, despite offers from Premier League and Serie A clubs in recent days. Both Real Madrid president Florentino and manager Carlo Ancelotti agreed to the deal, so as soon as the Christmas holiday is over, Ceballos' deal to join Betis on loan may be officially announced.

Betis had been working to get Ceballos back to the club this summer, but they didn't have enough pay room at the time. Ceballos earns €3 million a year after tax at Real Madrid, and Betis will pay the salary of the Spanish midfielder. However, with Real Madrid asking for 20 million euros against Ceballos, it remains to be seen whether Betis will be willing to buy out the Spanish midfielder next summer.

In 2017, Ceballos joined Real Madrid from Betis for 16.5 million euros. However, his career at the Bernabeu did not go well, which made him very eager to return to where he became famous. This season, Ceballos has not been able to play for Real Madrid due to a left ankle injury.
