Tesla was investigated for follow-up: co-driver entertainment features will be restricted through software updates

A few days ago, Tesla issued a statement in response to the previous investigation of "because the vehicle can play games while driving", saying that it will release a software update to restrict the entertainment function of the co-driver, and it will not be able to use the central control screen to play games until the vehicle is completely stopped.

Previously, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has officially begun a survey of 580,000 Tesla vehicles, the reason for which these cars can use the central control screen to play games while driving, affecting driving safety. NHTSA has data showing that in 2019 alone, driving distractions led to 3,142 deaths in road traffic accidents

The survey involved Tesla's entire range of vehicles equipped with Passenger Play. NHTSA said these models can use the central control screen to play games while driving, affecting driving safety. The Passenger Play feature itself only allows passengers to play while the vehicle is in motion, but with some simple confirmation, drivers can also play card games while driving.
