As the first large-scale exhibition greenhouse in China to adopt glulam structure, the greenhouse of Taiyuan Botanical Garden is also the largest glulam structure structure built in China. The greenhouse dome, composed of a wooden grid, is unevenly spaced in sections, and is the only Chinese project to be awarded the world's best project because of its novel design and difficult construction.
