The surrounding villages include Southeast Su Lane, Northeast Forward, Northwest Lugou, Southwest Dahou, DouZhizhang and so on.

Around June 10, 1941 (42), the Japanese devils in the county seat of Si County took several cars and went to the countryside to sweep around and settle in the home of Hou Wu of Xiaoyuan Zhuang.

The devils took Xiao Yuan as their foothold and plundered around unscrupulously, circling for several days, and the masses were miserable.

I lived in Xinyi Eighth Route Army and learned that it was running in a continuous starry night, and the soldiers were divided into two roads, one of which was to detour to the Lugou River (or sugou) northwest of Zhuang to return to the southwest of Xiaoyuan, blocking the devils from going out of the polder gate in the west to prevent the enemy from escaping. One route attacked Xiao Yuan northeast, and the strong attack reached QianfengZhuang, which was less than 1 km northeast of Xiao Yuan at noon (around 13:00). A platoon commander asked the company commander (the company commander was a northeasterner, big man) whether to take a break, and the company commander ordered him to attack immediately, and the troops rushed to Xiao Yuan. The troops were less than 100 meters away from Xiaoyuan Weigou. At that time, the devils only wore white cloth-wrapped briefs during their lunch break, and the guns were all clumped together. A group of husbands went to the house to facilitate, saw the Eastern Eighth Route Army rushing to the weizi, ran back to signal their peers to escape, the ghost found that the brother-in-law behaved abnormally, but was alert. When I went out to watch, I saw that the Eighth Route Army was approaching, and they all returned fire with guns, and the two sides exchanged fire and fought fiercely. Some of the devils retreated to the field outside the West Gate, and with the help of wheat fields, trees, and other covers to block our northeastern Polder Attack troops, the two sides were fighting fiercely, and the enemy was completely attracted by our firepower. Our southwestern roundabout troops have quietly touched the enemy's rear. Taking advantage of its unpreparedness to rush into the enemy position, using large knives to slash and kill, the two sides launched a meat battle on the field, our soldiers bravely killed the enemy, from the afternoon battle to dusk, dozens of Japanese troops outside the polder were hacked to death or captured, the devils hiding in the polder stubbornly resisted, our army suffered heavy casualties, and the company commander was also sacrificed. Dusk was forced to withdraw from the battle.

The Japanese army was hacked to death by our knife, and then the ghosts loaded the bodies into a car and fled back to Si County overnight.

It was noon, and the bullets hit the wheat field in the front, drilling in the wheat field, and the people in the field fled.

After the Eighth Route Army retreated, the casualties were counted, and a total of more than 70 people were sacrificed. The company commander also died heroically. There is a person buried in the northeast of Xiao Yuan.
