Everybody: Xavi plans to have Ferran Torres play in the No. 9 position and sign him to the back line without reinforcements

According to Spain's Daily Sport newspaper, Barca are close to signing Manchester City striker Ferran Torres, and Barca boss Xavi plans to let the player play in the No. 9 position.

Ferran played mainly as a winger for Valencia and more as a pseudo-No. 9 for Manchester City, while Xavi plans to let him play in the No. 9 position after signing Felan.

Harvey has played the No. 9 spot with youngster Utegra in his last two games, and he hopes Ferran will play that position later. Ferran can also play on the wing, but Xavi already has Dembele, Fati and the youngster Abd.

Depay will recover from injury after Christmas, and Brycevette will also recover, so after the introduction of Ferran, Barca will not be on the front line.

Ferran, who has made just seven appearances for City this season and scored three goals, is plagued by injuries and has resumed training a few days ago.
