From December 30, 2021 to January 9, 2022, Yi stone carving artists from the Jinsha River in Sichuan Province, Chinese arts and crafts master Cao JiaYong Tho and stone carving art works will be exhibited at the exhibition hall of Guangzhou Traditional Arts and Crafts Center. Sixty squares, known as "color stones", show different artistic styles in Yangcheng.
Cao Jiayong is the first Master of Chinese Arts and Crafts in the history of Tho Cho Yan. With the state of natural innocence, he skillfully combines the eyes, fat, line, and color of Tho Cho Yan with the Bashu culture and Hanchu culture to form a carving work with refined knife techniques, vivid charm, and Chinese painting artistic conception, and at the same time integrates the yan and stone carving art into one furnace. His works have won gold medals at the National Arts and Crafts Fair many times, and his artistic achievements have been recognized.
Tho is from the Panxi Rift Valley along the Jinsha River, and Yan is also named after the ancient name "Tho". According to legend, zhuge liang of the three kingdoms did not forget to take stones to make bricks here when he was captured, and in the first year of the Qing Dynasty, the imperial court took the stones and went to the Panama International Exposition to be selected in one fell swoop, and became famous at home and abroad.
