This National Day holiday, Huozhou Turpan welcomed a large number of tourists. In addition to famous attractions such as Grape Valley and Jiaohe Ancient City, unique wineries have become a new hot spot for tourists. "In the past few days, under the premise of normalizing the prevention and control of the epidemic, we have received 400 to 500 tourists every day." On October 5, Wei Tiantian, manager of Turpan Volcano Wine Estate, told reporters.
Turpan is famous for its grape production. Golden latitude, length of illumination, coupled with profound cultural heritage, make Turpan the most promising wine region in China. In recent years, in the face of the upgrading of tourism consumption, Turpan has launched a leisure tour of wineries with the help of famous grape producing areas and brand wines, extending the grape industry chain, enriching the supply of tourism products, and becoming the most popular tourism project in Huozhou.

Volcano Winery is one of Turpan's many wineries. At the Volcano WineRy, the wine barrel-shaped cottages are shaded by greenery. Outside the "wine barrel" is a poetic countryside, but inside is a comfortable star hotel room. From March to June this year, more than 200 cottages are fully booked.

The winery is also proud of its 3 km long underground wine storage promenade. "Traveling through the wine storage promenade in a sightseeing car is like a wonderful wine culture journey." Beijing tourist Wang Can said. In addition, the winery also has gothic small wineries, health and sand treatment halls and other attractions, allowing tourists to deeply immerse themselves, receiving 200,000 tourists in the first half of this year alone.
Loulan Winery in Shanshan County makes use of the brand advantages of the "Loulan" series of wines to vigorously develop leisure tourism, not only establishing a wine culture museum, but also creating a high-end castle homestay, which has received more than 20,000 visitors this year. In Turpan, a number of boutique wineries such as Camel Bell Winery, Toxon Zero Altitude Winery, and Cheshi Winery are also full of tourists.

It is understood that in the past two years, Turpan has built 42 boutique wineries with different characteristics and different shapes, which can provide more than 1,500 beds for tourists. Recently, among the 12 boutique wineries of leisure tourism in the autonomous region and 15 boutique wineries of the autonomous region named by the Department of Culture and Tourism of the autonomous region, 4 wineries in Turpan were selected.
These wineries attract tourists with their regional wine culture, and the "ability to carry goods" for immersive experiences is also considerable. At Loulan Winery, five or six Beijing tourists tasted the "Loulan" series of wines and directly placed an order. "Even tourists who didn't buy it were impressed by our products and became potential customers." Zhang Haijun, head of Loulan Winery, said.

The vigorous rise of "wine culture + tourism" has become a new driving force for the transformation and upgrading of the Turpan grape industry. In the past, Turpan mainly relied on fresh grapes and raisins to open up sales channels, and now has formed an industrial structure of 1/3 fresh food, 1/3 raisins and 1/3 winemaking. Today, Turpan is home to more than 80 wineries. In 2020, Turpan produced 38,400 tons of wine with sales of 180 million yuan. The relevant person in charge of the Investment Promotion Department of the Management Committee of the Turpan Economic Development Zone told reporters that the rise of leisure tourism in wineries has promoted the expansion of the grape industry from single planting to the development of brewing tourism, further enhancing the overall gold content of the grape industry.
