On December 23, the State Administration of Radio and Television announced on its official website the draft of the "Specifications for the Master Production of Television Dramas" for the approval of radio and television and online audio-visual industry standards (hereinafter referred to as the "document").
The document stipulates the requirements for the master production of high-definition and 4K ultra-high-definition TV series, including the requirements for duration, attribution, image, sound, subtitle, packaging format and technical quality, and gives a subjective evaluation method for sound and picture quality.
In terms of duration requirements, the document states that regular episodes should be at least 41 minutes long, and that the duration of each episode ending and the beginning of the next episode should not exceed 30 seconds.
