Each: Representing Morocco at the Africa Cup of Nations, Aboud could miss up to 10 games for Barca

According to the Daily Sports newspaper, Barca youngster Abd may miss up to 10 games of the team due to representing Morocco in the African Cup of Nations.

With Barca short of major generals, Aboud had the opportunity to show himself, having played in the team's last four games under Xavi. So far this season, Abd has played seven games, all in league matches, as the club did not register him for the Champions League. Against Osasuna, Abd scored his first-team goal.

Morocco was placed in Group C for the Africa Cup of Nations, with opponents in the same group including Ghana, the Comoros and Gabon. On 10, 14 and 18 January, Morocco will play three group matches. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the African Cup of Nations is still likely to be suspended.

In such a situation, Abd will certainly miss the league games against Mallorca (2 January), Granada (8 January) and Vallecano (19 January); Copa del Rey vs. Linares (5 January), Spanish Super Cup semi-final against Real Madrid (12 January) and possible final (16 January), and Abde will certainly be absent.

If Morocco qualifies from the group, Abd could miss up to four games, including two La Liga matches against Alaves and Bilbao and two Copa del Rey matches.
