Beijing Dongcheng, Donghuamen Zhide Community

Zhide Community belongs to the old residential area of the old city, located in the northwest of Donghuamen Street, east to Beiheyan Street, west to the west wall of the Forbidden City, south to Donghuamen Street, and north to Qihelou Street. The municipality covers an area of about 1.37 square kilometers and has a population density of about 2,570 people per square kilometer. In December 2002, it was integrated on the basis of Zhide, Beichizi and Part of Qihe Tower and Donghuamen.

The Zhide community has a deep cultural heritage of the Imperial City and a wealth of historical sites. The world-famous Palace Museum, Ninghe Temple (now Beichizi Primary School), Chen Duxiu's Former Residence (No. 20 Jiangan Hutong), Meng Gong Mansion (Xihua Zhide Hotel), and the Kongde School (now Beijing No. 27 Middle School) founded by the famous educator Mr. Cai Yuanpei in 1917 are located in the jurisdiction, and the rich cultural connotation attracts tourists from all over the world to feel the profundity of Chinese civilization.

Zhenfei Well:

Zhenfei Well is located next to the Forbidden City Outer East Road on Jingshan Qianjie. After the failure of the Penghu Reform in the twenty-fourth year of the Qing Dynasty (1898), Cixi held a grudge against the Guangxu Emperor and his beloved concubine Zhenfei who supported the change, and imprisoned them in the Yingtai and Leng Palaces in the South China Sea, respectively. In 1900, when the Eight-Nation Alliance invaded Beijing, Cixi fled the capital with Guangxu, and ordered eunuchs to push Zhenfei into a well and drown, which was called "Zhenfei Well".

Forbidden City Corner Tower:

It is located at no. 4 JingshanQian Street and at the four corners of the Forbidden City Wall. These exquisite and colorful corner towers are Ming Dynasty buildings and have a history of more than 500 years. The floor plan of the corner tower is a curved ruler shape with two "ten" characters stacked on top of each other, surrounded by a white jade pillar base. The heavy eaves are polygonal staggered in size, and the upper eaves consist of four-cornered pointed peaks and peaks. Bright mountains on all sides, the ridge of the longitudinal cross, the zhong'an copper gilt treasure roof, due to the harmonious proportions of the various parts of the corner tower, the beautiful cornices, exquisite shapes, has become the symbol of the Forbidden City, making people surprised, admired and admired.

Ninghe Temple:

Located at No. 46 Beichizi Street, commonly known as "Cloud Temple", it is one of the eight temples outside the Forbidden City. The temple is named after the clouds that can be condensed into water, and the Yongzheng inscription has the forehead of "Xingze Zhaocai". The temple gate sits on the east and faces the west, the temples are all sitting north and facing south, the main buildings are the Bell and Drum Tower and the 4-story hall, the existing hall and the street in front of the hall.
