This warlord was known as the "Born Stranger", and during the War of Resistance, he wiped out all his troops at once

Among the many warlords of the Republic of China, Lu Xingbang's fame is not very large, but his experience is absolutely legendary.

This warlord was known as the "Born Stranger", and during the War of Resistance, he wiped out all his troops at once

Lu Xingbang was originally a peasant in Youxi County, Fujian Province, but because he could not stand the landlord's framing, he rose up to resist, and after killing the landlord, he went up to the mountain to become a bandit and did some burning and looting activities.

After Sun Yat-sen launched the Dharma Protection Movement, Lu Xingbang's troops were incorporated and became the Ninth Regiment of the Fifth Brigade of the Third Division of the First Army of the Guangdong Army. After the Northern Expeditionary Army reached Fujian, he worked closely with the Northern Expeditionary Army and won a great victory in Fujian. After the Northern Expeditionary Army left Fujian, the northern Fujian region was handed over to Lu Xingbang to manage, and he also became the king of northern Fujian, and his life reached a climax.

Lu Xingbang was a very complex figure, during his reign in northern Fujian, in order to satisfy his personal selfish desires, he indiscriminately killed innocents, set up various names of harsh taxes and miscellaneous taxes, and skillfully plundered, and was called "the living Yama King" by the common people.

However, he also has a positive side, such as building schools, vigorously developing education, creating a library in northern Fujian, etc. Therefore, Chiang Kai-shek also sent him a birthday plaque of "Heqing Centennial", and He Yingqin also commented that he was "born with strange people and different talents".

This warlord was known as the "Born Stranger", and during the War of Resistance, he wiped out all his troops at once

In 1930, Lu Xingbang began to serve as the "commander of the former enemy of the bandits in western Fujian", fighting against the Red Army, but most of his troops were bandits, and their combat effectiveness was very low, and he lost every battle with the Red Army. Lu Xingbang had a son named Lu Shengbin, who served as a regimental commander in his ranks, but as a result, he was captured by the Red Army in a battle, and later fled back, which made Lu Xingbang very unhappy, felt that he had lost someone, and thought that his son was not the material for the war, so he let him take off his military uniform and go to a primary school as a principal.

Lu Shengbin stayed in school, thought that he had extraordinary ability, and was very dissatisfied with his father's arrangement, so he borrowed alcohol all day to dispel his sorrows, and soon after, he became obsessed with gambling and smoking. Because Lu Xingbang was very strict with his family, and Lu Shengbin could not get money for such a large expense, he privately asked For money from Lu Xingbang's subordinates.

Soon after, this matter was known to Lu Xingbang, and at a banquet, Lu Xingbang tied up the drunken Lu Shengbin, directly pulled him to the back mountain and shot him, allowing his relatives to cry and plead, and he resolutely refused to allow it. Not only that, after he shot his son, he directly used a straw mat to roll up and buried it hastily. I don't know if this person is really selfless or really heartless.

After Lu Xingbang gained absolute control of northern Fujian, his desire for power became stronger and stronger. At that time, when the chairman of Fujian Province was changed, named Yang Shuzhuang, he saw that Lu Xingbang's power was getting bigger and bigger, and the northern Fujian region could not intervene at all, so he ordered the reduction of Lu Xingbang's army supply and personnel power, which made Lu Xingbang very annoyed.

It is reasonable to say that in this case, he can just take a soft and flattering Yangshuzhuang, but Lu Xingbang is very arrogant and has to compete with Yangshuzhuang.

Once, when Chen Peifeng, a member of the provincial government, was hosting a birthday party at home, and all the people with heads and faces in the province came, Lu Xingbang sent his younger brother Lu Xingrong with soldiers to rush directly to Chen Peifeng's house and kidnapped the secretary general of the provincial government, the director of the department of education, the director of the department of civil affairs, and others to Nanping, bargaining with Yang Shuzhuang.

Yang Shuzhuang was not easy to provoke, and directly called the Central Army, saying that Lu Xingbang intended to rebel and carry out encirclement and suppression. Although Lu Xingbang was arrogant, he was not an opponent of the Central Army after all, and after the defeat, his power began to turn from prosperity to decline.

Until the outbreak of the All-out War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression in 1937, Lu Xingbang wanted to make a comeback through the anti-Japanese resistance, so he took the initiative to ask for help, and his brother Lu Xingrong led nearly 5,000 people to Zhejiang, and after 4 months of training, he was put into the battlefield. As a result, in the Battle of Songhu, his troops fought very badly, with nearly 5,000 troops, more than 4,300 killed, and the rest were wounded, and after recovering from their wounds, they were assigned to other units.

At this point, Lu Xingbang's troops were all wiped out for the sake of resisting Japan, and the number was cancelled by Chiang Kai-shek, which added the last glory to his controversial life.

Since then, Lu Xingbang withdrew from the stage of history and died at home on September 17, 1945, at the age of 65.
