Musk: Don't believe much in the metaverse because no one wants to tie a screen to their face all day

On December 23, Tesla CEO Elon Musk said that he was not quite sure about the "metacosm" related things, but it is estimated that no one wants to tie a screen to their face all day.

Ever since Facebook announced that it was renamed "Meta" to bet on the "metaverse," there has been a lot of hype around the potential of the metaverse. Wall Street seems to be excited about it, with analysts at investment bank Jefferies arguing that it could upend everything in human life.

Musk doesn't seem convinced, Musk said, I don't know if it's necessary to believe in the 'metaverse' of this kind of thing.

He also suspects that people are willing to wear virtual reality (VR) or augmented reality (AR) headsets for most of the day just to wander through the futuristic virtual world. When I was young, I was always taught not to sit so close to the TV that it would hurt my eyes. But now, people are putting the TV on their nose (alluding to a VR/AR headset).
