Latin botanical mineral name: Vitis labrusca L.

Harvesting and storage: summer and autumn harvest, roots and stems washed, sliced, leaves chopped, fresh or dried.

【Original form】Wine grapes Fall leaves and thick climbing bushes. The new strips have 1 tendrils or inflorescence per section. The leaves are ovate or broadly ovoid, 7–16 cm wide, the basal recesses are usually open, not divided or slightly 3 lobed, sparsely lobed and rounded, with irregular light serrations at the edges, dark green above, furry below, initially white, posterior iron gray or rust-colored, with prominent leaf veins. The conical inflorescence has few branches and is 5–10 cm long; the sepals, petals, and stamens are all counted; the upper petals are synthymous; and there are 5 honey glands at the base of the ovary. The berries are spherical, 1.5–2 cm in diameter, purple-black, sometimes reddish-brown or amber green, with thick skins, slightly sour taste, and a very strong musk aroma. The flowering period is from June to July, and the fruiting period is August.

【Habitat distribution】This kind of production is produced in the eastern United States, and most of the grape varieties cultivated in the United States come from this type. It is now cultivated in Yunnan, China.
