The three of them felt good

The Russian Soyuz capsule aboard by Maezawa Yusaku, Yozo Hirano and Misulkin made a soft landing on a steppe 150 kilometers southeast of the Kazakh city of Jezkazgan on Monday at 9:13 a.m. local time.

Due to the low-altitude clouds in the area, search and rescue helicopters could not be deployed. The rescue team arrived at the landing site in an all-terrain vehicle to assist the crew in a medical examination. According to the report, the three felt good. Later in the day, they will fly to the Star City Space Flight Preparation Facility outside Moscow for post-flight inspections and repairs.

There is a feeling of "motion sickness"

Tomosaku Maezawa, 46, and Yozo Hirano, 36, were among the first self-funded visitors to visit the International Space Station since 2009. Misulkin is on his third space mission. At noon local time on December 8, the three people took off on the Russian Soyuz spacecraft and began their space journey. During the 12 days of living on the International Space Station, Maezawa made videos about daily missions in space, including brushing teeth and going to the toilet.

In a live interview with the orbiting space station last week, Maezawa Yusaku said: "Once you go into space, you realize how worthwhile it is to have this amazing experience. Asked about reports that he paid more than $80 million for the space trip, Maezawa said he could not disclose the contract amount, but admitted that the amount he paid was "quite large." As for those who have criticized him for spending his money on space travel instead of using it to help people on Earth, Maezawa Yusaku said: "The people who criticize it may be those who have never been to space. He said he had a feeling of "motion sickness" in space and was "a little difficult to fall asleep," adding that future space visitors should be prepared to spend five days getting used to zero gravity. Maezawa said he was satisfied with the length of the trip. "12 days was appropriate for me, enough to get used to 'motion sickness' and enjoy the rest of the flight." He said.

A flight around the moon is scheduled

It is reported that after consulting the public before the flight, Maezawa Yusaku compiled a list of 100 things to do in space, including badminton, table tennis and golf on the space station. Maezawa reportedly made his fortune in retail fashion by founding Zozotown, Japan's largest online fashion mall. Forbes magazine estimates his net worth is $1.9 billion.

According to the report, Maezawa Yusaku also booked a flight around the moon in Elon Musk's starship. In 2023, he will lead 8 people on this mission together.
