The Mystery of Chang Yu was published by Sichuan Fine Arts Publishing House and edited by Deng Chengman. In 2020, Deng Chengman began to sort out the information and interview notes about Chang Yu, using the vision of a media person to solve the mystery of Chang Yu's life, the mystery of family business, the mystery of schooling, the mystery of going abroad, and the mystery of the cause of death... Chang Yu was born in Nanchong District in 1895, and the Chang family opened a silk factory and became a wealthy businessman. With the support of his family, Chang Yu studied painting in Paris. In the 1920s and 1930s, Chang Yu's works occupied a place in the Parisian painting world. But in general, Chang Yu's works were not appreciated in the art market at that time. At the end of the summer of 1966, the impoverished Chang Yu died in his Paris apartment.
