The new book "Wang Anshi Painting Biography" was released Nearly 100 works of art show the humanistic character of a generation of famous people

On the 17th, on the occasion of the 1,000th anniversary of the birth of Wang Anshi, a famous reformer, politician, thinker and writer of the Northern Song Dynasty, the launch of the new book "Wang Anshi's Painting Biography" was held in his hometown of Fuzhou, Jiangxi.

Co-authored by Zhu Hong, former member of the Standing Committee of the Jiangxi Provincial CPC Committee and vice governor of Jiangxi Province, and Long Xihu, professor of Nanchang Institute of Technology, the book uses easy-to-understand language to tell the political achievements and literary achievements advocated by Wang Anshi, and praises the humanistic character of a generation of famous people with nearly 100 vivid works of art, and sings the cultural brand of a thousand-year-old talent.

Gao Shiwen, deputy secretary of the Fuzhou Municipal Party Committee and mayor, said in his speech at the press conference that Fuzhou is known as the "hometown of talents and the state of culture", and a large number of famous Confucian princes have emerged in history, of which Wang Anshi is an outstanding representative. "'The Biography of Wang Anshi's Paintings' profoundly interprets the spirit of home and country, the spirit of innovation, the spirit of professionalism, the spirit of self-discipline and the value of the times contained in Wang Anshi as a great reformer in China in the 11th century, and pushes the propaganda and research of Wang Anshi to a new height."

Ouyang Zhirong, director of the Jinggangshan Cadre Training Center of the Propaganda Department of the Jiangxi Provincial CPC Committee, ph.D., and young literary and art critic, said in his speech at the press conference that the book "The Biography of Wang Anshi's Paintings" includes paintings and calligraphy from ancient people, translations of important documents, and calligraphy and paintings created by today's people.

"Our goal is to let every Jiangxi person know Wang Anshi and know Wang Anshi through this book, so we try to use simple language in this book. For example, as a reformer and politician, what reform measures does Wang Anshi have? What is the specific content and role of each measure? Why some people agree with the change of the law and some people oppose it, these must be clearly explained. Zhu Hong, one of the authors of "Wang Anshi's Painting Biography", said that being able to understand the majority of ordinary people is his greatest happiness as a book writer.
