The Daryou A98, which is one of the few, although the same model, is two very different keyboards. It's not just the difference between single mode and three mode.
The essential difference in appearance is not big, it is all partition 98 with columns, but it should be noted that a right Alt key is removed. The single template also removes the small screen (battery display) in the upper left corner, and the receiver storage compartment on the right is also sealed. The original three-mode toggle switch on the left side is retained, but the function becomes a three-stop light brightness control. The back is the same as the three-stage model, with a Type-C interface, three-way trunking, and two-stage feet.
Why is it that these are two completely different keyboards, in addition to the single template using a mechanical hand-sensitive electrostatic capacitance scheme, but also canceled the gasket structure on the three templates, instead of the traditional metal positioning plate and rigid fixing, no longer elastic. So although they are both linear shafts, the difference in the feel experience between the two is very huge.
The three-template Sky Axis V3+ Gasket structure is soft and soft, and the button sound is also very pleasing. The single template uses a 45gf burgundy axis (electrostatic capacitance axis), which feels tough at the bottom, and the rebound sound is also much louder. Daryou A98 single template adopts the Electrostatic Capacitance scheme of The Lichi Scheme, the same solution as Amilo, the principle of electrostatic capacitance triggering, but with the traditional mechanical shaft feel experience, the traditional mechanical keyboard user can seamlessly switch over. Due to the need to cooperate with specific ICs and circuits, relying on capacitance changes to achieve triggering, without physical contacts, the theoretical life will be higher, and waterproof and dustproof also has certain advantages. Because of this, it is no longer compatible with traditional mechanical shaft switches, so hot swapping has been cancelled accordingly.
The structural composition of the hydrostatic shaft is actually not much different from the traditional shaft body, but the electrostatic shaft does not require physical contacts, the full key has no shrapnel noise, and only the local key area is close to listening, and there will be a trace of cavity sound. The smoothness and consistency of the shaft body itself are good. Its large key satellite axis is the same as the three templates, but it may be that the individual factory lubrication is slightly deviated, and the individual satellite axes will have different degrees of loose shaking, and the large key feel is not as calm as the three templates, of course, the overall is not bad.
The keyboard is equipped with a set of PBT two-color keycaps, mecha blue color, while preset monochrome blue light, the lighting effect is relatively single, and the brightness is higher than that of the three templates (white positioning plate reason).
At present, Daryou A98 is the only 98 matching keyboard on the market that uses a mechanical hand-feeling static capacitance scheme, and it is better to enrich the type of electrostatic capacitance shaft body in the later stage, and the choice at this stage is relatively single. It should be noted that the A98 single template and the three templates are completely different two keyboards, mainly in the structure and shaft body scheme and connection mode.
