According to the Daily Sports newspaper quoted by Bild, after moving from Barcelona to Red Bull Leipzig, Moriba did not get enough playing time, which hindered his progress. RB Leipzig believes it would be better to loan the player out in the following winter transfer window so that he can find the rhythm of the game.
Bild further noted that Red Bull Leipzig is already looking for a team that will allow Mauriba to regularly improve his game. In the half season in the Bundesliga, Mauriba has only 100 minutes of playing time, including 60 minutes in the Champions League, 10 minutes in the German Cup and 30 minutes in the Bundesliga, in which he played a combined 30 minutes in both games.
That's a far cry from what the club expected of him, with his outburst at Barcelona last season pointing the way forward for him, but he decided to leave instead of renewing his contract with Barca. Just six months later, things changed and now he has to seek a loan to leave Leipzig.
