PANews reported on December 16 that Lotte Cinema, one of South Korea's largest theater chains, will issue NFT for free to users who book tickets for "The Matrix Resurrections." These NFTs are based on characters from the 3D version of The Matrix. Rakuten Cinema will partner with Warner Bros., NFT technology startup W.CRAFT, to issue "secret codes" to the first 30,000 people who book movie tickets and apply for NFTs by December 21. The person who obtains the password can redeem the NFT on W.CRAFT's webpage. While the event's NFTs cannot be traded, Rakuten Cinema plans to release tradable NFTs in the future. Meanwhile, Lotte Cinema will open a virtual gallery themed After The Matrix, showcasing film clips and clips.
