Yan Qijuan: Asked Sun Yat-sen's son, Sun Ke, for his daughter's maintenance, 26 gold bars, and 14 were cut off

Yan Caijuan's experience is actually very simple: a native of Yinxian County, Zhejiang Province, Sun Ke met in 1932, the two lived together unmarried for nearly four years, and when Sun Ke was the president of the legislative council, she was Sun Ke's private secretary. In March 1936, she and Sun Ke's daughter Sun Suifang were born in Shanghai. However, behind this simple text, there is a very complex emotional entanglement, her emotional entanglement with Sun Ke.

Sun Ke

Yan Aijuan was born into a famous family, and before becoming Sun Ke's private secretary, she was a famous social flower at that time. She was snubbed and abandoned by Sun Ke in the late spring of 1935, although her relationship with Sun Ke was excellent before, but it was at the end of that spring that Sun Ke's life appeared Lan Ni, who was also a social flower at that time, and later became Sun Ke's private secretary. Unlike Lan Ni, Sun Ke admitted that Lan Ni was his second wife and held a "wedding banquet" with only 4 tables, but Yan Qianjuan did not have these, and in Sun Ke's place, she had no name except for her private secretary.

It is certain that being replaced by Lan Ni is not clear, Yan Qianjuan refuses to show weakness, and wants to drag Sun Ke to the court, after Du Yuesheng and Shanghai barrister Wu Jingxiong came forward to mediate, Sun Ke agreed to pay living and education expenses, Yan Qianjuan got the living expenses paid by Sun Ke, and promised Sun Ke that this was the last time and would never be wanted again. However, that being said, in March 1936, after Yan Aijuan and Sun Ke's daughter Sun Suifang were born, Yan Aijuan thought of Sun Ke again, because she did not have a job, a person with a child needs money, and she wants to get the child's maintenance from Sun Ke.

It is not easy to ask for money from others at any time, and Yan Qijuan's misfortune is that when she planned to ask Sun Ke for money, it coincided with the outbreak of the National War of Resistance in 1937. It is rumored that during this period, Sun Ke sent Lan Ni to do Yan Qianjuan's work and asked her not to make trouble again, but it was unsuccessful. With the fall of Shanghai and Nanjing one after another, the Nationalist government moved the capital to Chongqing, and Sun Ke also went to Chongqing, and the child support for the daughter yan Qijuan begged for was gone, and she herself had no source of income, so she remarried someone else.

Yan Aijuan remarried to the husband's surname, people do not know, can only find a little bit from Sun Suifang's memories. Sun Suifang said that her stepfather was a fierce-tempered and very strict person, who had no feelings for his daughter who was not his own, but only scolded her, which made her childhood full of sorrow. Sun Suifang also said that she also has two younger sisters, three and five years younger than her, both born to her mother and stepfather. In addition, she also has a little brother, not only has a wet nurse, but her stepfather also stipulates that she and her sister have to take turns holding the little brother every day after school.

Through the term "wet mother", people can more or less see that the family of Yan Qijuan's new combination should have a certain economic foundation, but through "she and her sister have to take turns to hold their little brother every day after school", it can be basically concluded that this family values sons over daughters, and there are many remnants of feudal ideas. Sun Suifang said that once, she accidentally frightened her little brother, the little brother cried, and the stepfather beat her violently for no reason, grabbed her hair and slammed it against the wall, resulting in her ears being beaten with blood, leaving a lifelong ear disease. What she couldn't understand was that whenever she was beaten by her stepfather, her weak mother was always a silent bystander, which made her extremely heartbroken.

In fact, in Sun Suifang's heart, her mother Yan Qianjuan is not as simple as "weak", she said, she understands that her mother treats her as a "cash cow" to ask her father for money, and her heart will be broken. Clear-eyed people may be able to see clearly, and things here may not be as simple as Yan Caijuan's lack of income to ask Sun Ke for her daughter's child support.

Yan Qijuan: Asked Sun Yat-sen's son, Sun Ke, for his daughter's maintenance, 26 gold bars, and 14 were cut off

There is an old saying in China called "men are afraid of entanglement, women are afraid of grinding", and some people explain this sentence that says that men are afraid of being entangled, while women cannot stand the suffering of others. We don't know if it is correct to explain this sentence in this way, but we know that Sun Ke is indeed "entangled" by Yan Qianjuan. Because of his status and reputation, he did not refuse Yan Caijuan's request to pay his daughter's maintenance, nor did he agree to it, and finally sent Lani to "negotiate".

How Lan Ni and Yan Qianjuan talked, people don't know much, only know that in the end Sun Ke took out 26 big gold bars as a child support fee for his daughter, but these 26 big gold bars were intercepted by Lan Ni and 14, and Yan Qianjuan only got 12. Why Lanni intercepted 14 gold bars is also unclear, and some people give explanations that Lanni saw Yan Qianjuan as if she saw her own tomorrow. But no matter what, it increased Yan Qianjuan's hatred for Lan Ni, and she did not stop worrying about Sun Ke because of this. This incident was about 1946, and it is said that before Yan Qijuan wanted Sun Ke to give financial support to her daughter's affection, she also wrote two letters to Sun Ke in succession. When Sun Ke saw these two letters, he was somewhat soft-hearted, and only then did he take out the gold bars.

Although 14 were cut off, to be honest, raising a child in that era, having 12 gold bars was basically enough. At the end of 1948, she took Sun Suifang to Taiwan, and later heard that Sun Ke lived in Hong Kong, so she came with Sun Suifang and came to Sun Ke to ask for her daughter's maintenance. Sun Ke refused, and she made a big fuss about it. Sun Ke said that giving you 30,000 yuan is not OK, she claimed that 240,000 yuan can not be solved. Seeing that Sun Ke did not give herself 240,000 yuan, she entrusted a lawyer to fight a lawsuit with Sun Ke. However, the court was already in the second half of 1950, the lawsuit was adjourned because Sun Keju's family moved to France, and Yan Qijuan sued Sun Ke for a bamboo basket to draw water.

Next, there is very little news of Yan Caijuan, people only know that in 1951, her daughter Sun Suifang was sent back to Shanghai by her, where she lived with her two aunts at her grandmother's house, and the living expenses were regularly sent from Hong Kong by her. Later, Sun Suifang went to Beijing and lived in her uncle's house. In 1959, Sun Suifang, who was studying in the Architecture Department of Tongji University, applied to visit Yan Aijuan in Hong Kong because her mother Yan Qijuan was suffering from heart disease, and was approved. This is the last news about Yan Caijuan that the outside world knows, and since then, she has been unknown, and people do not know the final outcome of her life.

As for Sun Ke, in 1965 from the United States to Taiwan, he met his daughter Sun Suifang in 1966, he was already 75 years old, and Sun Suifang was already 30 years old. Father and daughter met, "a smile and a vendetta", but in Sun Suifang's memory, such an event can never be erased: one day in early 1950, she was taken to Sun Ke's apartment by her mother to ask for money, and she "stared at the stairs with both eyes, hoping that her father would come down, and the result was a blank wait." When she got into the car, she refused to go, "desperately pressing the horn of the car, the horn called out to her father, and also pressed out her sad tears."

Sun Suifang

In Sun Suifang's recollection, in 1972, she went to Taiwan to visit her father Sun Ke again, and Sun Ke on the hospital bed suddenly asked her: "Is it you who has been honking the horn outside the gate for two hours?" Sun Suifang could no longer hold back the pain in her heart, and replied to her father Sun Ke in English: "What do you think I should have done in the first place?" I was a kid in my 10s! ”

Yan Qijuan: Asked Sun Yat-sen's son, Sun Ke, for his daughter's maintenance, 26 gold bars, and 14 were cut off

It is said that the debts owed outside will eventually be repaid, but it is rare to collect debts like Yan Caijuan and repay debts like Sun Ke, and this rare way can only leave the next generation with tears. Fortunately, Sun Suifang is good, in the later life experience, in order to publicize Sun Yat-sen's ideas, she has given more than 800 speeches around the world, and founded the Sun Yat-sen Cardiovascular Hospital in Shenzhen, authoring "My Grandfather Sun Yat-sen" and "My Grandfather Dr. Sun Yat-sen Memorial Collection" and other books.

Some people say that Yan Qianjuan's misfortune is due to her meeting Sun Ke, which caused her tragic life. The truth is, a lot of things are two-sided.
