Prime Numbers (Prime Numbers)

2、3、5、7、11、13、17、19..........

Prime numbers, also known as prime numbers, are numbers in which natural numbers greater than 1 cannot be divisible by other natural numbers except 1 and the number itself.

The rustic quality, the natural without any additives, the pure self, like the stars in the sky, endless, no rules can be applied to them, like, I am here, independent, and like all of you, is a unique existence, indescribable purity, uncompromising, lonely and arrogant numbers.

"Complete Numbers"

6=1+2+3

28=1+2+4+7+14

Perfect numbers, also known as perfect numbers or complete numbers, are special natural numbers: the sum of positive factors other than themselves is exactly equal to itself.

Truly realize the full precious meaning. Just as it's hard to find perfect people, perfect numbers are rare, and we currently find fewer than 30 complete numbers.

"Friendly Numbers"

220, 284 is a very charming number!

The sum of each other's true factors is each other's.

God carefully designed a beautiful friendship relationship.

You see

220:

1+2+4+5+10+11+20+22+44+55+110=284

284:1+2+4+71+142=220

Oh well! It was wonderful!

The film is from Yoko Ogawa's book The Doctor's Love Equation. I think the characters, the storyline, the imagery and metaphors, the music and the picture are very Miyazaki. The dialogue in the film is concise, natural, warm, delicate, clear and philosophical. To be able to express mathematics in such a way its breathtaking beauty, I have to admire Yoko Ogawa's profound literary background, she successfully expressed accurate mathematical knowledge in a romantic and poetic philosophical language, and very cleverly and naturally integrated into the story, inspiring readers to think for themselves, so that thinking has a richer and deeper connotation. Therefore, in addition to the entertainment function and the acquisition of knowledge, the most important value of this film is to lead the audience to think about life. It is not easy to reach this realm, this is quite a good work.

Mathematics is a subject that many people are afraid of, and many of my students and friends have asked me, "What does mathematics do?"

Only addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, do not understand polynomials, trigonometric functions, exponential logarithms, vectors, calculus... Don't people also live their lives!

Well, good question! If you don't listen to a favorite song today, you won't lose a piece of meat! If you don't travel tomorrow, you can still breathe!

You say: listening to songs, traveling... It makes me happy, but learning math only makes me miserable.

Ha! It is indeed how many people feel!

We don't teach monkeys physical chemistry, nor do we need to teach a rabbit to experience "what is the life like a song about wine?"

The phenomenon of the human mind and soul is indeed different from all things, the human heart is seeking eternity, we are eager to seek the truth, and we have real emotions. With all the power of our minds, we choose the path we should follow.

Many people think that mathematics is a purely rational world, a logical language, and has nothing to do with emotions and art! In fact, mathematics is also beautiful, true, simple and noble, elegant and complete. Can math make people happy? Yes, as long as you see its truth, goodness, and beauty.

The story mainly describes the relationship and dialogue between the children of the math professor, the housekeeper, and the housekeeper. The professor suffered a brain injury in a car accident 17 years ago, leaving his memory to stay until 1975, after which new memories last only 80 minutes, and the housekeeper who came to take care of the professor was a single mother, and her 10-year-old child (the professor named him: Root Number) grew up to become a teacher who loved math to reminisce stories in the first person.

With only 80 minutes of memory, Yoko Ogawa sets off the eternal contrast of mathematics and the finite contrast of humanity in such a plot, and at the moment when the professor thinks about the mathematics he loves, when he gradually perfects and can grasp the brilliance of the beauty of truth, when his work gradually reaches precision and clarity, pure and easy to understand, elegant and attractive, his personality charm naturally reflects a perfect mathematician temperament. The light of wisdom is condensed in this short eighty minutes, and each moment seems very precious.

  "How many shoes are you wearing?"

  "Number 24."

  "Wow, what a pure number, it's a factorial of 4."

  "What is the multiplication?"

  "Multiply all positive integers from 1 to 4 to equal 24."

  "What's your phone number?"

  「576-1455。 」

  "5761455?" It's amazing! This is the number of prime numbers under 100 million."

This was the conversation between the Doctor and the Butler for the first time. It seems to be flat, but it contains the doctor's feelings for mathematics and people's indisputable feelings.

When the doctor saw the housekeeper's child, he warmly hugged him and said happily, "It is amazing that you have come such a long way yourself!" What a good boy, thank you, thank you." He touched the flat top of the child's head and said, "There's a clever head in it." "You are called the root number, and as long as you use the root number, you can give a clear identity to the infinite number, the number that is invisible to the naked eye. ...... You won't hate him no matter what the number. The "root number" is really a big symbol!"

In this way, the eternal mathematics made a connection between the three people. The butler's son has not had a father since he was a child, and the doctor not only gives him a new name, but also gives the root number a long-awaited fatherly love. The Doctor taught him his homework and practiced baseball with him, protecting the root number no matter what the danger. Although the Memory of the Doctor is short-lived, there is no way to accumulate it again. However, the housekeeper still takes care of the doctor's living with great patience and love, and at the same time appreciates and shares the beauty of mathematics with the doctor. The camaraderie in the triple room is warm and moving.

π = 3.1415926535............infinity

Pi, the never-ending number, a number that can never be completed in our finite space-time, but the concept of his infinite eternal life is in our minds.

i : Imaginary! Imagined numbers, polite, modest, gentle, usually invisible in the place where our eyes can see, such a kind and elegant state of life, but exist in our hearts, in the imagination of the imagination, supporting the world.

e :≈2.7182818........... The mysterious transcendental number, the base number of the natural logarithm.

π, i, and e are the most irrational, illusory, and transcendent numbers in the universe, but these three strange numbers meet together, plus 1, and everything returns to the original point.

"π from the universe appeared next to the elusive imaginary i, floating to E's side, holding hands with the shy i. Their bodies cling to each other and hold their breath, but after someone added a 1, the world changed dramatically without warning. Everything comes back to zero." Just like the "love" in the film, all aspects of the "love" are clenched, eliminating all chaos, and returning love to its authenticity, like a timeless starlight.

The truly great mathematician must be a poet at heart

Euler, one of the greatest mathematicians in history, once lamented, "The power of e (iπ) + 1 = 0, so God exists!" This is recognized by the mathematical community as the most refined and beautiful formula, and it is also the eternal, simple and harmonious way for doctors to tell love.
