A few days ago, foreign media exposed a set of spy photos of suspected Audi A3 Allroad models, and the new car is based on the A3 hatchback version, or will be unveiled in the second half of 2022.
Judging from the spy photos, the front face of the new car still continues the family-style polygonal grille design, and has been blackened to look more sporty. The headlights on both sides adopt a narrow and long design shape, and add multiple sets of lamp beads inside, which has a high degree of recognition. The aerodynamic design at the bottom effectively guarantees the stability of the vehicle.
On the side of the body, the roof line of the new car is not significantly different from the current A3, and the through-line waist line increases the layering of the side. Compared to the current A3, the ground clearance is higher, which improves the passability of the vehicle. The large wheel hub design and the large window design make the whole car look powerful. The new car uses a traditional door handle design for a tougher look. According to foreign media speculation, the suspension of the new car should be raised by about 35mm.
Coming to the tail, the shape of the tail light group is basically indistinguishable from the current A3, still using a flat design, and a lot of light strips are designed inside, which have a higher recognition when lit up at night. The concave license plate frame area effectively increases the layering of the rear of the car, and the full bumper increases the muscle of the new car.
In terms of motivation, there is no clear news at present. The new domestic A3 inherits the 1.4T turbocharged four-cylinder engine codenamed EA211, which has a maximum power of 110kW and a peak torque of 250N·m, and meets the National VI emission standards, matching a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. It is expected that the Audi A3 Allroad will also use a similar powertrain as the main force in the future.
