British media: Arsenal may vote for a new captain in the team, similar to the method of Emery and Guardiola

According to the London Evening Standard, after stripping Aubameyang of his captain's armband, Arteta may let arsenal vote for a new captain.

Aubameyang was dismissed as captain for multiple disciplinary violations, the most recent of which was last week, when he returned to the club a day later than the club had agreed due to family visits.

Arsenal are currently captained by an internal leadership team that includes Lacazette, Xhaka and Holden. Lacazette is expected to be captain against West Ham.

Mr. Arteta could allow the team to vote for a new captain in the future, similar to former Gunners manager Emery emery and Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola.

Arteta did not give a negative answer as to whether the way the captain would be voted for.
