It is a gift poem. He gave it to the famous general Xiao Yu. Originally a Sui Dynasty general, Xiao Yu was captured by Li Shimin during the war and subsequently surrendered to the Tang Dynasty. When Li Shimin was still the crown prince, his brother Li Jiancheng and younger brother Li Yuanji framed him, and his father Li Yuan, after hearing the news, planned to punish Li Shimin. It was under Xiao Yu's persuasion that he dispelled the idea of punishing Li Shimin.
Soon after, Li Shimin launched the "Xuanwumen Rebellion" and Li Jiancheng and Li Yuanji were killed. Under Xiao Yu's persuasion, Li Yuan handed over power to Li Shimin. So Li Shimin ascended the throne and made Xiao Yu the prime minister. The Book of the Later Han Dynasty was originally praised by Emperor Guangwu for wang ba.
