Jiao Ziying, born in Hubei in 1905, was raised by his parents due to poverty and handed over to her aunt to raise. When she was 10 years old, her uncle died of illness, and she could only take care of the family at a young age. She found a job at the landlord's house when she was young. With a meager income, she and her aunt struggled to make ends meet. A few years later, in order to hug her grandson as soon as possible, her aunt asked Jiao Ziying to marry a man in a neighboring village.

When Jiao Ziying was 21 years old, Marxism was spreading widely in China, a land that was already in ruins. Therefore, in 1927, Jiao Ziying became the director of the village committee. She called on local women to continue their courageous struggle against the old feudal society. Jiao Ziying joined the Party in 1930 because of her outstanding achievements in mobilizing the masses and expanding the Red Army.

Using effective personnel, Jiao Ziying and others joined the guerrillas, training guns and tactics, and striving to be useful on future battlefields. Jiao Ziying was also the leader of the guerrillas, and she also set an example in the face of difficulties. Even if he had to eat bark and chew grass roots, he should resolutely refuse to accept the people's stitching. It was not until 1975 that Comrade Jiang Weiqing, then secretary of the Jiangxi Provincial Party Committee, recognized her.
