"The wandering rivers and lakes reminisce about the old travel, so people live and die for thousands of years." He has been spared the troubles of the ordinary, and has left himself as a prisoner of pride. On April 29, in front of the tomb of the martyr Yun Daiying in the Longhua Martyrs' Cemetery in Shanghai, teachers and students of Shanghai University recited this sonorous and powerful poem again.

At the ceremony of "Studying party history, remembering the ancestors, and making a long-term aspiration" at Shanghai University to commemorate the 90th anniversary of the sacrifice of the martyr Yun Daiying, the young students listened to Yun Mei, the granddaughter of the martyr Yun Daiying, look back on the glorious life of her grandfather, pay tribute to the great righteousness of the martyrs, and draw the strength of faith from them.

"The most important spirit of young people is to fight against fate." Over the past few decades, countless Chinese youth have drawn nourishment from the "Proverbs of Yun Daiying Youth". During his teaching at Shanghai University, Yun Daiying actively disseminated new ideas, new culture and Marxism, led and directed the workers' movement and the student movement, and played an important role in the May Thirtieth Movement. The Chinese Youth, edited by him, has influenced groups of revolutionary volunteers. After being arrested by the Kuomintang authorities, one of his "Poems in Prison" showed the lofty revolutionary integrity of the Communists.

We young people living in the new era must bear in mind the glorious deeds of the revolutionary martyrs, carry forward the lofty spirit of the revolutionary martyrs who persevered and persevered, and have a firm belief in serving the country and the people.

This year marks the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, and teachers and students of Shanghai University look back on history and watch over their original intentions. Teachers and students fully excavated the school's red gene in various forms such as "short dramas", "school history dramas" and "micro-speeches".

A documentary, "Spring Thunder: A Story of the Early Activities of Shanghai University and the Chinese Communist Party," brings teachers and students back to that "era of awakening." In 1922, Shanghai University was born in Shikumen, Shanghai as the first regular university founded under the leadership of the Communist Party of China. Under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, teachers and students of Shanghai University founded progressive periodicals, disseminated Marxism, launched the workers' movement, led strike struggles, set up education for the common people, sowed the seeds of revolution, and established a number of early grass-roots organizations of the Party throughout the country, igniting the spark of the proletarian revolution. For example, Cao Yunzhen entered Shanghai University in the autumn of 1923 and established the first rural party organization in Anhui, the Xiaodianji Special Branch of the Communist Party of China in Shou County. Luo Shibing, who entered Shanghai University in 1924 and joined the Communist Party of China, was assigned by the Party Central Committee to develop party members in his hometown of Ji'an in January 1926, leading the establishment of the first party organization in Ji'an, the CPC Ji'an Group.

"The early development of the Communist Party of China has left a deep mark on Shanghai University." Zhang Liming, former director of the memorial hall of the First Congress of the Communist Party of China, executive director of the Shanghai Red Culture Research Institute, and distinguished professor of Shanghai University, told this history. Since its inception, Shanghai University has attracted a large number of famous teachers and celebrities to teach and give speeches. Professors represented by Qu Qiubai, Deng Zhongxia, Cai Hesen, Zhang Tailei, Yun Daiying, Ren Bishi, Chen Wangdao, Xiao Chunu, Shen Yanbing, tian Han, etc., disseminated revolutionary and progressive ideas and Marxist theory.

At the scene, the teachers and students of the Shanghai Film Academy of Shanghai University reproduced the wonderful stories of the "red professors" in the torrent of history through the situation sketches; the school history drama "Qian Weichang" starring young students told the old principal Mr. Qian Weichang's naked feelings; and the "Voice of Strength" group member, Teacher Wang Zhida of the Film Academy, sang the respect and nostalgia of the old principal through the original song "Great Cause Long Song".

In addition, the school also held the launching ceremony of the "Building Fortresses with Solid Foundations and Strong Foundations - Exhibition of Pictures and Historical Materials on the Construction of Early Branches of the Communist Party of China" in conjunction with the four major memorial halls of the Communist Party of China. This is the first time that the exhibition has entered Shanghai universities in 2021.
