Kunming, December 14, 2021 (Reporter Du Xiaoxiao Liu Ranyang) The 2021 Yao Foundation Hope Primary School Basketball Season National Training and League officially kicked off on the 14th at the Kunming Haigeng Training Center. 34 representative teams from all over the country will display the basketball "fruits" after the project support in the next 5 days.
In the last month of 2021, Yao Foundation will "2021 Yao Foundation Hope Primary School Basketball Season National Training and League Series Activities" in Kunming, Yunnan. In China's sports blessed land, 34 representative teams from all over the country will highlight the healthy and upward spirit of sports and public welfare for rural students, and draw a successful end to this year's activities.
It is understood that the event was co-sponsored by the Beijing Yao Foundation Public Welfare Foundation and the China Youth Development Foundation, jointly initiated by the Chinese Basketball Association, supported by the Yunnan Provincial Sports Federation, and hosted by Yunnan Normal University and yunnan basketball association.

At the opening ceremony, a total of 340 young players from 34 representative teams entered in an orderly manner, and the representative team wearing colorful national costumes and professional basketball uniforms became a beautiful landscape in the whole field.
"To sports people, not just for ten years, not just basketball. This year is the tenth session of the Yao Foundation Hope Primary School Basketball Season Project, in the past ten years, the Yao Foundation has continued to move forward, the number of beneficiary schools has doubled year by year, and the continuous participation of cooperative universities, local governments and caring partners has made the Yao Foundation full of expectations for the future. Ye Dawei, secretary general of the Yao Foundation, said at the opening ceremony that the continuous promotion of the integration policy of sports and education marks that sports have become the most important cornerstone and driving force for the healthy growth of young people.
In 2011, the Yao Foundation decided to support rural physical education as the core task of the institution, and in 2012, the first Yao Foundation Hope Primary School Basketball Season was launched exploratorily. In the past decade, many school principals, teachers, and primary school students have participated in the project, and many volunteers and donors have helped the project, many rural students have fallen in love with basketball because of the project, and even many people's lives have changed as a result.
After the opening ceremony, a special session was ushered in on the spot, and all the participating young players participated in the "First Lesson of the National Competition: Theme Class Meeting".
At the class meeting, Four guests, Li Qingqi, president of the first yao foundation project school, Chen Jinmin, a young player, Ming Jiaqi, a volunteer teacher of Yunnan Normal University, and Zhou Shuxian, the father of the late well-known basketball journalist Zhou Hongjin, were invited to tell everyone about the power of public welfare and sports around the four themes of origin, transformation, remembrance and departure.
