The reporter learned that at the beginning of next year, more than half of the outpatient medical services of the Chongwenmen Branch of Tongren Hospital will be transferred to the Yizhuang Branch.
In August this year, the second phase of the Yizhuang Branch of Beijing Tongren Hospital affiliated to Capital Medical University was fully opened, which is a key project to promote the relief of non-capital functions, and a major livelihood project to optimize the layout of medical resources and improve the medical service capacity in the southeast region.
According to the relevant person in charge of Beijing Economic Development Zone, during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, with the main body of Tongren Hospital moving south, the number of beds in the Yizhuang Branch of Tongren Hospital reached 1400, and the outpatient emergency area was more than doubled. Beijing Economic Development Zone will further rely on the professional advantages and comprehensive strength of national clinical key disciplines such as ophthalmology and otolaryngology of Tongren Hospital to provide residents with personalized, multidisciplinary and all-round "one-stop" accurate diagnosis and treatment, so that residents can enjoy high-level diagnosis and treatment services at the "doorstep".
Tongren Hospital has "one hospital and two districts", with a construction area of 108,000 square meters and 359 beds in Chongwenmen Hospital, and a construction area of 224,000 square meters and 1,400 beds in Yizhuang Hospital.
Huang Zhigang, vice president of Tongren Hospital, revealed the planning of Yizhuang Branch at the press conference: at the beginning of next year, more than one-half of the outpatient medical services in Chongwenmen Branch will be transferred to Yizhuang Branch; after maintaining the original outpatient emergency business and undertaking the transfer business of Chongwenmen Branch, the average daily outpatient volume of Yizhuang Branch is planned to be 8,000 to 10,000 person-times.
At present, Tongren Hospital has successfully completed the task of relieving and realized the southward shift of medical focus. Huang Zhigang said that the outpatient volume of Yizhuang Branch increased by 81.6%, and 800 beds were relieved of Chongwenmen Branch; the hospital leadership team took the lead in completing the relocation of the main body of administrative functions to Yizhuang Branch, moving 505 practicing physicians to the south and 691 registered nurses to the south.
According to the plan, the Chongwenmen Campus will carry one-third of the outpatient volume, and the Yizhuang Campus will carry two-thirds of the outpatient volume.

The reporter learned that after the relief, the Chongwenmen Branch of Tongren Hospital will optimize the layout in accordance with the requirements of serving the "four centers" in the capital, adjust the allocation of resources, focus on improving the medical emergency guarantee, enhance the scientific and technological innovation and achievement transformation system, and strive to build a national medical center and clinical research center for ophthalmology, otolaryngology, head and neck surgery, and provide high-level international medical services.
